Banjarmasin – Public Relations Education Staff at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) took part in Digital Public Relations training at the Human Resources Development and Research Center (BPSDMP) Kominfo Banjarmasin. The training will last for 5 (five) days from 8-12 July 2024.

This training is one of Digitalent’s Government Transformation Academy (GTA) programs by BPSDM Kominfo RI. The training was held in order to develop and improve human resources and digital talent in the fields of Communication and Informatics.

The training material was delivered by public relations practitioner Dian Abdi Wahyudillah. The training material provided includes the following competencies:

  1. Implement caption and reaction management in digital media
  2. Implementing tool-based content management in digital media
  3. Understand measurement and analysis in digital media
  4. Prepare public relations communication program plans and budgets
  5. Practical seminar on designing institutional public relations communication programs and budgets

Through this training, it is hoped that ULM Public Relations staff will gain new knowledge and skills in the field of digital public relations. Apart from that, this training also provides insight into how to design and implement effective digital communication strategies.

In this digital era and internet development, it is important for public relations to understand social media to maximize its role in this digital era. This is because social media has the ability to reach an audience or public widely and quickly. Social media also allows public relations to interact with the public and get feedback easily.

Activeness on social media can also help public relations build the branding or reputation of institutions/institutions through various informative and interesting content. Social media also generally has tools to analyze or measure the development and effectiveness of shared content.

With these various benefits of social media, there is no doubt that it is important for today’s public relations (digital era) to equip themselves with social media skills.
