ULM Tightens Supervision to Prevent Cheating in UTBK 2025
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) is implementing strict supervision in the implementation of the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) of the 2025 National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT) to prevent all forms of cheating. Until the seventh day of the UTBK implementation, the committee stated that no cases of violations or indications of cheating were found at the ULM exam location.
Preventive measures are taken comprehensively, starting from providing and committing officers, strict examinations of participants, to active supervision during the exam.
We ensure that all officers have signed an integrity pact, understand, and implement standard operating procedures (SOP) in accordance with SNBT provisions.
“Trust is our main principle,” said Hj. Nieke Rezeki Febriantie, S.E., M.M., Head of the Academic & Student Affairs Bureau.
Before entering the exam room, participants were first directed to the transit room to listen to the reading of the rules and put down all their belongings except for important files.
Next, participants were thoroughly checked using a metal detector, from head to toe, the front and back of the body, and the left and right sides. This procedure was carried out carefully according to the national protocol set by the SNPMB committee.
In the exam room, the supervisor is tasked with matching the participant’s identity with the exam card and face directly, and ensuring that the files brought are in accordance with the rules. During the exam session, the supervisor actively walks around to supervise and detect potential suspicious activities.
“Alhamdulillah, until now (day 7 of sessions 13 and 14), the implementation of UTBK at ULM has been clear without any reports of cheating. We hope that this situation will continue until the UTBK is completed, even though we hear issues of alleged cheating from social media in other regions,” she said.
With a multi-layered supervision system, Lambung Mangkurat University affirms its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the implementation of UTBK. This effort not only maintains fairness for all participants, but also supports the realization of an objective, clean, and credible national selection.
ULM hopes that all participants can take the exam honestly and orderly, and together create an academic atmosphere that is fair, safe, and free from cheating practices in any form.
