ULM Team Wins Runner-up in 5th Student Digital Innovation Competition in 2024
Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) participated in the 2024 Student Digital Innovation Competition. A total of 32 teams were spread out to take part in the five divisions in the 5th LDIM this year.
Starting from the internal selection process at ULM through registration for all students, followed by an initial screening stage based on the proposed ideas and concepts after which they are given intensive guidance and assistance to develop their projects.
From this series of efforts, of the 32 teams representing ULM in the five divisions of the competition, three ULM teams succeeded in becoming finalists with one team winning the Champion of Hope in the Educational Digital Video Division.
The Student Digital Innovation Competition is an activity held by the Indonesian Talent Development Center, National Achievement Center of the Ministry of Education and Culture as a comprehensive effort to improve Soft Skills, technological literacy and achievements in the Industrial Revolution 4.0
Technological developments are currently experiencing significant acceleration and influence various aspects of human life. This can be seen from advances in computing and connectivity, including increases in processing power, storage capacity and network speed, which have become the main drivers of technological development.
Apart from that, the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) which has been seen in various aspects of human life has raised awareness that we cannot be separated from existing technological sophistication if we don’t want to be left behind.
In the era of industrial revolution 4.0 and in the midst of the current development of the information society, the world of education is also required to be able to make full use of digital technology and must even be able to prepare qualified digital talents.
This is also the basis for the Indonesian Talent Development Center, the National Achievement Center of the Ministry of Education and Culture to continue to attract the best talents in the world of education, namely through the Student Digital Innovation Competition which is routinely held every year to develop the digital talents and achievements of Indonesian students.
LIDM aims to increase students’ digital literacy and develop innovation in education and learning through the application of digital technology. There are five innovation divisions in this year’s competition, namely:
- Educational Digital Technology Innovation Division (ITDP)
- Educational Digital Learning Innovation Division (IPDP)
- Educational Digital Video Division (VDP)
- Educational Digital Poster Division (PDP)
- Digital Microteaching Division (MD)
It is hoped that this competition can become a forum for students to develop innovative solutions in terms of digital technology and can be utilized and applied in various educational institutions both in terms of learning quality, administrative processes and tools as an interesting learning experience for students.
