Menwa ULM Holds Socialization of Dharma Bhakti Activities – Building a Tourism Village in Sungai Bakau Village

Pelaihari – South Kalimantan, Lambung Mangkurat University Student Regiment or MENWA ULM held a socialization activity on Dharma Bhakti Menwa 601/NRT ULM 2024 entitled “Development and Empowerment of the Potential of Sungai Bakau Village as a Tourism Village Based on Local Wisdom in Tanah Laut Regency”, at the Sungai Bakau Village Hall Bakau, Kurau District, Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan Province, Thursday (11-07-2024).
This activity is an implementation of the Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK Ormawa) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. Menwa ULM is one of the student organizations that has passed the 2024 Ormawa PPK national selection.
Coordinator of Ormawa PPK Activities (Tourism Village Development Dansatgas) Menwa ULM in 2024, Sri Ayu Wulandari, said that this socialization activity aims to explain to related parties and the community about the plans for implementing Tourism Village Development activities in Sungai Bakau Village.
“The socialization activity is carried out for 1 day, presenting the activity plan by the implementer and asking questions and answers with the community or village authorities. “Meanwhile, the core activity of Dharma Bhakti Menwa ULM Development of Tourism Villages in 2024 will be held from July to November 2024,” said this 6th semester student of the ULM FISIP public administration study program from HST.
Meanwhile, Vice Commander of the Menwa 601/NRT ULM Unit, Nor Auliana Rahmah, explained that the aim of tourism village development activities is to identify the potential of natural resources, arts and culture, human resources and economic activities that can be collaborated to support the development of tourist villages to the formation of management institutions and the launch of Tourism Villages. .
“There are four programs being implemented, namely, the Menwa service program, the coaching and training program, the Menwa communicator program, and the inauguration of the Sungai Bakau Tourism Village with branding according to its superior potential,” she said.
ULM Vice Rector 3 for Student and Alumni Affairs, represented by M Zuhdian Noor as Sub-Coordinator of ULM Student Interests, Talents, Reasoning and Information, in his speech said that the ULM Menwa was one of twelve ULM student organizations that successfully participated in the sub-proposal selection at the national level.
“Unlike KKN (Real Work Lectures), PPK Ormawa is an activity managed by student organizations as an implementation of the government’s independent learning program,” he explained.
“We from Lambung Mangkurat University also express our gratitude for the approval and warm welcome from the people of Sungai Bakau Village,” he continued.
The Head of Sungai Bakau Village, Basuri welcomed the 2024 Dharma Bhakti Menwa ULM activities in his village area.
“The hope is that this activity will run smoothly, so that all the goals and tourist attractions in Sungai Bakau Village can be realized and opened to the public so that Sungai Bakau Village can be even more advanced.” he said.
