Ahead of PEKSIMINAS 2024, ULM Students are Ready to Represent South Kalimantan in the Seriosa Song Singing Competition
Banjarmasin – Still in the series of capturing South Kalimantan’s best talent for the National Student Arts Week (PEKSIMINAS), the Regional Student Arts Week for the seriosa singing and pop singing competitions was held at the Kalimantan Islamic University (Uniska) on Tuesday (11/6/2024). This event was attended by a jury, participants and representatives of each university.
The Seriosa Song Singing Audition which was held at Uniska saw Paula Carolina Natalia, a student at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, ULM, as the representative of South Kalimantan in the Seriosa Song Singing competition at PEKSIMINAS next September. The pop singing competition will be represented by Laidar Agung Nugroho from FISIP ULM and Sevira Nurferani from the ULM Faculty of Forestry.
Dr. Yanuar Bachtiar, S.E., M.Si in his speech appreciated and thanked the Kalimantan Islamic University (Uniska) for being willing to provide a place where auditions for the Regional Level Seriosa Song Singing Competition could be held.
“Because I really understand the limitations we have. “Of course it is not easy to hold a competition, especially if the competition is at regional level,” he said.
He also has high hopes for the success of South Kalimantan students in the upcoming Peksiminas so that they can get the best results.
“Hopefully we will get the best results from all the competition participants representing us,” he added.
Peksiminas itself is an activity initiated by the Indonesian Talent Development Agency (BPTI) of the Ministry of Education and Culture. This activity is a competition and talent show for students in Indonesia. Representatives from all universities in each province will meet after going through the regional selection stage (Peksiminas).
