The Implementation of the 121st and 122nd Graduation Ceremonies Run Smoothly, 2560 Graduates Inaugurated

Banjarbaru – Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) through an open session of the Universitas Lambung Mangkurat Senate inaugurated 1,260 graduates on Wednesday (16/10/2024). The inauguration of graduates in the 122nd graduation included the graduation of graduates of the Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s, Specialist, and Doctoral Programs which were held at the ULM Bannjarbaru Auditorium.

The graduates consisted of 87 people from the Diploma Program, 895 people from the Bachelor’s Program, 110 people from the Professional Education Program, 163 people from the Master’s Program, and 4 people from the Specialist Program, and 1 person from the Doctoral Program. The details of the number of graduates were conveyed by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of ULM, Dr. Iwan Aflanie, dr. M.Kes., Sp.F., S.H. Also announced were the 14 best graduates at the 122nd graduation from each faculty at ULM, including:

Through his speech, the Rector of ULM congratulated the graduates who will enter a new chapter in life and do not forget to give advice to always remain dedicated to maintaining the good name of Lambung Mangkurat University.

“Therefore, I would like to invite the graduates to first maintain the good name of the ULM alma mater when they have left ULM as ULM alumni, secondly the dedication of graduates to the alma mater that we love and are proud of is a must so that ULM will continue to thrive in the future because of its alumni,” he said.

In his welcoming speech, the Rector also advised the graduates to prepare to face a new dynamic chapter as graduates. The graduates, armed with the knowledge and experience they have, must also be able to position themselves according to their environment in order to maintain the good name of the ULM almamater.

“The dynamics of change are inevitable, therefore make sure you can change uncertainty into certainty,” said the Rector.

Alumni are one of the important elements for universities, including ULM. Therefore, the Rector always embeds a message when giving a speech at the graduation ceremony, that in addition to maintaining the good name of the alma mater, it is important for alumni to continue their studies and continue to make achievements while in the community.

After the Rector’s speech, the event began with the reading of the graduates’ oath which was continued with the inauguration of all graduates carried out by the Dean of each faculty.
