ULM Improves Public Services According to Law Number 25 of 2009

Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) through the Faculty of Law received a visit from the Main Policy Analyst of the Ministry of PANRB Muhammad Imanuddin and his staff, in order to ask for input regarding the implementation of Law Number 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services. The visit was carried out on Tuesday (24/9/2024) at the Banjarmasin Faculty of Law Hall.
This visit is part of the national agenda of the Minister of PAN RB in an effort to improve the implementation of public services in Indonesia where ULM is the third campus visited after Andalas University and Sultan Agung Tirtayasa University. The event which took place in the Sugiono Hall of the ULM Faculty of Law was attended by Dean Achmad Faisal, Deputy Deans and Heads of Study Programs.
In his remarks, the Dean of the ULM Faculty of Law Dr. Achmad Faishal, S.H., M.H., welcomed this visit and conveyed the university’s commitment to supporting the improvement of public services in Indonesia. “Lambung Mangkurat University is ready to contribute academic ideas to perfect the implementation of Law Number 25 of 2009. We believe that with synergy between academics and the government, public services in Indonesia can be even better,” said Achmad Faisal.
Imanuddin, in his presentation, conveyed the importance of the role of academics in providing objective input based on scientific studies. “Law Number 25 of 2009 is an important foundation for improving the quality of public services. Input from academics, such as ULM, is very much needed so that the policies taken are more relevant to the needs of the community,” he said.
The interactive discussion covered various topics, ranging from transparency in public services, evaluating the effectiveness of policies, to strengthening the role of technology in government services to the community. The Minister of PAN RB also appreciated the various inputs provided by ULM, which were considered very constructive and applicable.
This visit is expected to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of PAN-RB and Lambung Mangkurat University, as well as produce concrete steps in improving the quality of public services in the country.
The Menpan RB Team also emphasized its commitment to continue involving various parties in the evaluation and policy development process, in order to achieve excellent and integrated public services, he also expressed his gratitude to the Dean of the Faculty of Law Achmad Faisal who had received the MenPan-RB Team. The event ended with the handover of books from the MenPan-RB Team to the Dean of the Faculty of Law and a group photo session.
