45 New Dentists Inaugurated, ULM Committed to Realizing National Development Towards a Healthy Society
Banjarmasin – The Faculty of Dentistry, Lambung Mangkurat University (FKG (ULM) held the 36th Dentist Oath-taking, Friday (20/9/2024). A total of 45 dentists were inaugurated and sworn in directly by the Dean of FKG Prof. Dr. drg. Maharani Laillyza Apriasari, Sp.PM., in the Hall of the Faculty of Dentistry.
The oath-taking was attended directly by the Rector of ULM Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., all members of the Faculty of Dentistry senate, the Head of the Gusti Hasan Aman Dental and Oral Hospital, Representatives of the Ulin Banjarmasin Hospital, Representatives of the South Kalimantan Provincial Health Office and all academicians of the Faculty of Dentistry ULM.
The Rector of ULM, Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., in his remarks expressed his appreciation to the new dentists along with their parents and families. The Rector said that there are still many areas in Indonesia that really need the presence and contribution of from new dentists, including in the South Kalimantan Province in realizing national development towards a healthy society.
“Today’s society is critical and intelligent, therefore as a dentist, we must carry out our devotion professionally and proportionally,” said the Rector .
Prof. Ahmad said that dentists have a strategic role that is expected to participate in building a prosperous and just Indonesian society.
Director of Hasan Aman General Hospital, drg. Teguh Hadianto, sp.KG on this occasion gave a speech and conveyed several of the latest developments at Hasan Aman General Hospital.
“The developments that we have may be part of your professional journey as new dentists,” said drg. Teguh.
Among the latest developments are the construction of the OSCE Center room, lecture rooms, discussion rooms, the latest and most sophisticated equipment to support education, such as microscopes and camscanners that can be used for printing and dental lasers.
The Director of Hasan Aman General Hospital also conveyed his plan to hold a scientific poster competition for dental and oral health education throughout South Kalimantan for high school, undergraduate, and professional levels.
