Holding EXPOSE MBKM: Building Villages, Faperta Exhibits Student Products in the Framework of the 64th Anniversary
Banjarbaru – The Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held an activity “EXPOSE MBKM: Building Villages” on Friday (6/9/2024) at the ULM Banjarbaru Faperta field. In this activity, dozens of products were the work of Faperta students during the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) field activities.
The Dean of the ULM Faperta, Prof. Akhmad Rizally Saidy, S.P., M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., said that Faperta had sent 225 of its students to participate in the MBKM Building Villages program. The students were spread out to participate in KKN activities and/or internships in 4 (four) different districts, namely Banjar, Tapin, Barito Kuala, and Tanah Laut Regencies.
“Since last July, for approximately one month students have been spread out in several districts for the MBKM Building Villages activity. “There are those who do KKN in the village, internships in companies, and other activities that can be claimed (recognized) as lectures,” said the Dean.
Through the MBKM activity, the students said that they were very enthusiastic when undergoing the program. The students had the opportunity to see, learn, and even directly apply the knowledge they gained during class in the field. Several student products that were exhibited in this activity were solid organic fertilizer from palm oil waste, fermentation as a substitute feed, coenzyme, and others. In addition, students also conducted counseling and training in the target villages.
The MBKM Building Villages Faperta ULM activity is supported by related stakeholders, including GAPKI South Kalimantan Branch, BKKBN South Kalimantan Province, Agriculture and Food Security Service of South Kalimantan Province, Agriculture Service of each Regency where the MBKM Activity is implemented and Dispora Tala Regency. The MBKM activity expects students to gain useful experience for improving competence and socializing in the community through the knowledge and science they gain during lectures on campus.
In addition to being a series of activities to commemorate the 64th Anniversary of the ULM Faculty of Agriculture, the EXPOSE MBKM activity was also held to appreciate the results of student work from the activity.
