ULM Releases 12 Student Organization Teams in PPK Ormawa

Banjarmasin – The release of the Student Organization Capacity Building Program Implementation Team (PPK Ormawa) to 12 Villages in South Kalimantan was directly released by the Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) on Thursday (1/8/2024). The release activity which was held in the Postgraduate Hall, 4th Floor, ULM was also attended by the accompanying lecturers to the 12 Student Organization Teams, the apparatus/representatives of each village, and all Student Organization teams who will implement the PKK program.

A total of 12 Student Organization teams managed to obtain a total of 415 million in assistance from Belmawa, the Directorate General of Higher Education and Puspenas which will be used for community service to villages as an implementation of their programs. Some of the Student Organizations and programs carried out are:

  1. Student Regiment 106 Nagarunting with the program “Development and Empowerment of the Potential of Sungai Bakau Village as a Local Wisdom-Based Tourism Village in Tanah Laut Regency.”
  2. HIMA Psychology carries the project “Revitalization of Kiram Village Ecotourism with the Ecocentrism Theory Approach Through the Utilization of Digital Promotion Innovation.”
  3. BEM FKIK runs the program “Community Empowerment Through the ‘Paman’ Waste Bank Based on a Digital Waste House with a Circular Waste Economy Concept Towards an Independent Rangas Tengah Village.”
  4. HIMAFI FMIPA introduces “Health Transformation Through the Application of IoT-Based Communal Automatic Filtration Membranes for Purifying Peat Water into Clean Water in Gambut Village.”
  5. HMTM FT utilizes “Renewable Energy with Solar Cells as Alternative Energy for Optimizing the Electrification of Paau Village.”
  6. HIMA Penjas with the program “Development of Ecotourism Based on Sport Tourism in Maintaining the Heritage of the Meratus Geopark in Tiwingan Lama Village, Banjar Regency”
  7. HIMA PSKEP with the program “Increasing Knowledge and Awareness of Stunting Behavior with Exclusive Breastfeeding and MPASI Based on Local Food in Wetlands of Pingaran Ilir Village”
  8. TENSI with the program “Creating Disaster Resilient Villages by Increasing Flood Knowledge and Strengthening Disaster Mitigation Preparedness in Antasan Sutun Village”
  9. Science Goes To Opera with the program “Implementation of Integrated Appropriate Technology for Diversification of Tempe Processed Products in Kampung Pelangi to Become a Banjarbaru Tempe Center”
  10. PIKMA HUMANIS Philia FKIK with the program “Healthy Village Free of Stunting: Increasing Community Capacity Through Optimization of Local Resource Management by Cadre Groups in Pemakuan Village”
  11. HIMA KESMAS FKIK with the program “RAKAT (Diligent, Creative, Active, Skilled) Women’s School: Empowerment Community in Efforts to Improve Women’s Capabilities and Values”
  12. HIMAKOM FMIPA with the program “Smart Farming Village Based on Papuyu Fish Biofloc Cultivation Through IOT Smart Sensors Automatic Feeder Technology in Bincau Muara Village”

Not only that, ULM as a companion university also continues to commit to providing support to the Ormawa team by providing a total of 48 million assistance which will be received by each team of 4 million rupiah.

Dr. Iwan Aflanie who was present representing the Rector and Vice Rector III of ULM and also officially released the PKK Ormawa Team welcomed this activity enthusiastically. He said that student organizations are a way to prepare the younger generation.

“Especially later in terms of responsibility, and various opportunities obtained, and the arts in life will be felt by the organization activists,” said Dr. Iwan.

With their participation in the PKK Ormawa, it is hoped that students can make a real contribution to increasing the capacity and potential of villages in South Kalimantan through programs that have been designed. The PPK Ormawa program is not only aimed at village development, but also to develop students’ abilities in implementing the knowledge they learn in the real world.
