In a Week, Educational Technology Students Achieve 5 National Achievements

Good news comes from students from the Educational Technology Study Program at Lambung Mangkurat University who have once again made achievements at the national level. This study program, which has only been established for a decade, is famous for the various outstanding achievements of its students. In fact, in 2022 to 2023, it is recorded from data held by the Department of Student Talents and Interests (BAKMINWA) of the ULM FKIP Educational Technology Student Association (HIMA TEKPEND FKIP ULM) that there are more than 100 achievements from various levels achieved by students of the Educational Technology Study Program Lambung Mangkurat University.
In this one week, at least 5 national level achievements have been achieved by students of the Educational Technology Study Program at Lambung Mangkurat University. A total of 4 achievements were obtained from the learning media competition and 1 achievement was obtained from the photography essay competition. The following are 5 achievements achieved in this one week period
The first achievement was achieved by Rosinta Nur Aisya, Nurul Kamariah and Siti Fatimah who are students of the Educational Technology Study Program at Lambung Mangkurat University class of 2021 and are part of the Serendipity Team which won 1st place in the Learning Media Competition (LOMAPEL) Educational Days UKM FKIP Teaching at Lambung Mangkurat University thanks to learning media work entitled IDU: Islamic Education. This certainty was obtained after the announcement of the competition which was held on May 15 2024 yesterday.
The next day, May 16 2024, good news enveloped educational technology students again, this was because M. Rizal, a student of the Educational Technology Study Program at Lambung Mangkurat University, class of 2020, who was also an outstanding student at ULM last year, won the title of 3rd place in the Activity Unit Journalistic Essay Photography Competition. Brawijaya University Plot 10 Student Campus Press. The photographic essay work is entitled “The Sun from Bumi Banjar Jaddina Maulana Syekh Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjari”, this work summarizes several moments during the 218th Haul Datu Kelampayan and tells the biography of the great cleric from Bumi Banjar.
Furthermore, the third achievement was achieved by the Educational Technology Assembly Team consisting of M. Rizal, Akhmad Fadhil Amara, Arif Rahman and Muhammad Ihsan. The four students from the Educational Technology Study Program at Lambung Mangkurat University from across all classes succeeded in winning 1st place in the National Learning Media Competition EduTech Series Competition Vol 1 of the Indonesian Educational Technology Student Association (IMATEPSI) at Surabaya State University from 19 to 20 May 2024. The Educational Technology Assembly team from Lambung Mangkurat University managed to outperform other teams from Jakarta State University and Yogyakarta State University who came out as second and third winners.
Meanwhile, two other achievements were achieved by two different teams in the same competition. The branch of the National Digital Learning Media Competition Influence of Sociology XV Twilight HMPS Lambung Mangkurat University was vibrating again after two teams of students from the Educational Technology Study Program at Lambung Mangkurat University won simultaneously. First place was won by the Education Technology Assembly Team consisting of M. Rizal and Zairida Isra Alifa. Meanwhile, Wildan Tamami, Annida Zulfa and Muhammad Ihsan had to settle for coming in third place in the competition.
The contribution of achievements from the students of the Educational Technology Study Program at Lambung Mangkurat University cannot be separated from the role of the Educational Technology Student Association, FKIP, Lambung Mangkurat University (HIMA TEKPEND FKIP ULM) through the Department of Student Talents and Interests (BAKMINWA). The BAKMINWA Department itself has collected data on student potential in various fields and has created several communities for learning and collaboration. Some of the communities that have been formed are learning media, photography, graphic design, scientific writing and literature, badminton, table tennis, basketball, futsal and even e-sports communities.
Haida Nabila as Head of the Department of Student Talents and Interests (BAKMINWA) revealed that the group was formed as a forum for the interests and talents of educational technology students. “The creation of the community at bakminwa began with collecting data on the interests and talents of educational technology students and was motivated by the desire to accommodate every interest and talent of educational technology students. Of course, this wish was realized and has been carried out until now, thanks to the previous administrators and the cooperation of all educational technology students she concluded.
“The main aim is of course to provide a platform for students to explore their interests and develop their talents. Apart from that, to bring each generation of educational technology students closer together. So far, Bakminwa has provided meetings and training in the field of sports, meetings and discussions regarding educational technology, as well as providing mentoring for preparation, one of which is the ongoing FKIP Ambassador preparation. Sharing information about competitions, and there are still several plans for the future regarding discussions and training in the field of educational technology and sports. Of course, we will collect data and continue to try to provide as much as possible for awards, appreciation and motivation.” added this 20 year old woman.
Apart from that, M. Rizal, as a representative of the learning media community, said that what he has been doing so far is always presenting competition information and inviting other colleagues to participate. “What I have been doing is spreading information about learning media competitions in learning media community groups. After that, we usually gather and discuss the competition up to the media development process and competition registration. Thank God, of the 5 achievements this week, 4 of them were from the learning media competition branch. We are certainly grateful for these good and proud results. In the future, there are still around 5 to 7 learning media competitions that we will participate in, some have already been registered and we are just waiting for the announcement. We ask for prayers from all ULM residents for the learning media community from HIMA TEKPEND FKIP ULM. “Hopefully we can continue to contribute to increasing the KPI of 2 campuses through various student activities outside campus such as the achievements produced.” he said.
