“International Hybrid Conference (IHC) on Dentistry in Daily Practice” Presents Speakers from 3 Countries

Banjarmasin – The Faculty of Dentistry, Lambung Mangkurat University (FKG ULM) held an international seminar on Saturday (25/5/2024). The activity entitled “International Hybrid Conference (IHC) on Dentistry in Daily Practice” was held at the Rattan Inn Banjarmasin Hotel involving undergraduate dental students, dental professional students and national and international dentists.

This IHC 2024 activity was the first to be held by FKG ULM online and offline and was attended by three countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia and Korea. This activity aims to increase knowledge in the field of dental education, establish international collaboration, and establish relationships with alumni ties, Faculty of Dentistry, Lambung Mangkurat University (FKG ULM), Gusti Hasan Aman Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM GHA), Regional General Hospital ( RSUD) ULIN and the Indonesian Dentists Association (PDGI).

As a learning tool to increase capacity as a dentist, IHC 2024 involves 5 presenters, namely Prof. Dr. Drg. Maharani LA, Sp.PM from FKG ULM Banjarmasin Indonesia; Adjunctive Professor, Dr. Jae Seok Kang, DDS, MSD, PhD from Chosun University Gwangju, South Korea; Associate Professor, Dr. Shahida Binti Mohd Said from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Kuala Lumpur; Prof. Tania, Saskianti, drg, PhD, Sp.KGA from Airlangga University, Surabaya Indonesia; Associate Professor, Dr. Noor Azlin Yahya from Universiti Malaya Kuala Lumpur. The five speakers presented material consisting of oral disease, periodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and dental materials.

Dean of FKG ULM Prof. Dr. Drg. Maharani LA, Sp.PM., opened the IHC 2024 activities. She said that the IHC 2024 activities were a means of learning to increase the capacity of dentists.
