Forestry Faculty Holds Together in Prayer, Hopes Aditya Will Be Found Soon
Banjarbaru – The Faculty of Forestry, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a joint prayer for Aditya Dharma Santoso, a 6th semester student class of 2021 at the ULM Faculty of Forestry who was declared missing since Thursday afternoon (2/5/2024). Aditya was reported missing in Sungai Ahas Village, Mantangai District, Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan while doing geotagging, namely the process of adding geographic information to a digital map with alumni and seniors for the Plantation Company.
The joint prayer event was attended by the Dean and the leadership, lecturers and students of the ULM Faculty of Forestry on Monday (6/5/2024). Dean of the Faculty of Forestry Prof. Dr. H. Kissinger, S.Hut., M.Sc., IPU., expressed his sympathy and hope that Aditya can be found quickly.
Prof. Kissinger said that until now the search is still being carried out by a joint team consisting of BPBD, Basarnas, TNI, Polri, Mantangai District, Sei Ahas Village Government, and other related parties. Apart from that, there were 4 (four) Mapala members from the Faculty of Forestry who took part in the search mission for Aditya, combing the forest area around the village.
Based on information from the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, the geotagging activity carried out by Aditya was not an activity of the study program, faculty or university. However, he said that the faculty and university are also trying their best to search for and monitor the progress of the search for Aditya and hope that Aditya can be found soon. In this joint prayer activity, donations were also collected which will be given to help with the operational costs of searching for Aditya.
