Banjarmasin – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) is hosting the 2024 Anugerah Syiar Ramadan (ASR) event held by the South Kalimantan Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID). The highlight of the broadcast media awarding was held at the FISIP ULM Lecture Theater on Saturday (4/5/2024) with the theme “Cooling Broadcasts and Strengthening National Unity”.
Chairman of KPID South Kalimantan, M. Farid Soufian, said that the awarding event was a form of appreciation for the creativity of broadcasting institutions in South Kalimantan. This appreciation is intended for radio and television media that consistently present quality broadcasts during Ramadan. A number of broadcast media, both radio and television in South Kalimantan, are participating in the 2024 ASR event.
“Through the ASR 2024 event, we hope to ignite the enthusiasm of broadcast media, both radio and television, to continue to innovate in presenting useful information on public frequencies,” said Farid.
This activity, presented by Daddy Fahmanadie as Chair of the 2024 ASR Committee, is an annual activity organized by the South Kalimantan KPID.
“But there was a hiatus during the pandemic yesterday,” he said.
Based on data from the South Kalimantan KPID, there are a total of 71 broadcasting institutions in South Kalimantan, consisting of 47 televisions and 24 radios. Meanwhile, there are 18 broadcasting institutions taking part in the 2024 ASR appreciation event, consisting of 6 (six) television stations and 12 radio stations throughout South Kalimantan. The assessment is taken from broadcast programs that aired during last Ramadan with the deadline for collecting material or content on April 20 2024.
ULM FISIP Communication Science Study Program Lecturer Dr. Fahrianoor participated as a jury member at ASR 2024. Together with him, Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Yunani from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) South Kalimantan and Marliyana from KPID South Kalimantan were also on the jury and decided on the 5 (five) best nominees for the television and radio categories. TVRI Kalsel, BanjarTV, TV Tabalong, Tapin TV, and Duta TV are included in the 5 (five) nominations for best television media. Meanwhile, the 5 (five) best nominations for radio media were obtained by RRI Banjarmasin, Amandit FM, KRadio, Radio Swara Bersujud, and Abdi Persada.
It is hoped that in the future, this activity can encourage broadcasting people by providing quality broadcast programs. Apart from that, in the following year the South Kalimantan KPID Award could be held on a bigger scale, such as the KPID Award with more categories.
