ULM Team Participates in 2024 NUDC Regional Selection
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) took part in the regional level selection at the 2024 National University Debating Championship (NUDC). The selection was held online from 27 to 30 April 2024.
The ULM team that successfully passed the regional level NUDC selection was Ridwan Hafiz Maulana from the Architecture study program as Debater 1, Rifqi Fierdha Maulana from the Law Science study program as Debater 2, and Ikhtiara Fakhrunisa from the Information Technology study program as Adjudicator (N1). They took part in the regional level selection online in the Vicon Hall of the Rectorate of Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarmasin. Vice Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs Dr. Muhammad Rusmin Nuryadin, S.E., M.Si., was also present at the location to accompany the ULM team as well as provide moral support.
Based on the guidelines issued for NUDC 2024, ULMs in the LLDIKTI XI region will compete with universities in the LLDIKTI I, II, X, and XII regions in regional level competitions. Through regional selection, there are no eliminations, but the best team from each LLDIKTI will be selected based on the accumulated assessments during 8 preliminary rounds to represent LLDIKTI at the national level.
NUDC is a debate competition event held by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture’s National Achievement Center (Puspresnas). The debate competition is conducted in English with the British Parliamentary System parliamentary debate format. In this competition, participants are not only expected to be able to express ideas in English, but also be able to master global knowledge, analyze, make judgments, and convince the public regarding the ideas they present.
