ULM Rector Holds IKU Achievement Report Meeting

Banjarmasin – Key Performance Indicators (IKU) are measures or indicators of an agency’s performance, especially in achieving certain goals and targets. Every government institution or agency is required to formulate key performance indicators and make this a top priority. By formulating key performance indicators, government agencies can find out their performance so far. Apart from that, key performance indicators can also improve their performance in the future. So that they can achieve the goals, objectives and plans that have been determined previously.

Likewise, government agencies, especially universities, have several main performance indicators that must be of common concern, namely:

IKU 1: Graduates Get Decent Jobs

IKU 2: Students Gain Experience Outside Campus

IKU 3: Lecturers with Activities Outside Campus

IKU 4: Teaching Practitioners on Campus

IKU 5 Lecturer Work Results Used by the Community

IKU 6: Study Program in Collaboration with World Class Partners

IKU 7: Collaborative and Participatory Class

IKU 8: International Standard Study Program

In the context of reporting, the Rector invited a number of ULM academic members to participate in the IKU achievement meeting by ULM which was held on Tuesday (19/3/2024). The event, which took place in the Senate meeting room on the 3rd floor, presented Vice Rector I, III, IV, Heads of Institutions within ULM, UPA Chairpersons and officials within the ULM Rectorate as well as Chairs of the IKU and WCU (World Class University) Monitoring and Evaluation Task Force.

In his report, the chairman of the IKU and WCU Monev Task Force, drg. Irham Taufiqurrahman, M.Si.Med, Sp.BM explained that ULM’s KPI achievement had increased. This is proven by the data obtained where almost all KPIs are now above 70%, except for KPI 6 in the previous Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.

“IKU 6 is not yet due to manual verification of the data,” he said

However, ULM should be alert to the challenges it will face in the future. as happened when the IKU Dashboard experienced technical problems (errors) for more than 2 weeks due to maintenance. This must be anticipated so that the data that has been recorded will not experience problems in the future.

“To get around this incident, the target in the business intelligence displayed has actually been increased by 10% so that when there are adjustments, the data doesn’t drop,” he added.

The decision of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology which has undergone changes but has not yet been released by the Ministry must also be a major concern for ULM to be able to adapt to the existing changing system.
