The 2024 ULM Pilmapres is Held Again
Banjarmasin, (14/3/2024) The 2024 University Level Election of Outstanding Students (Pilmapres) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) was held. This event took place at the Student Activity Center (SAC) Banjarmasin.
Present at the event, ULM Vice Rector III for Student and Alumni Affairs Dr. Muhamad Rusmin Nuryadin, SE., M.Si, Deputy Dean III of all Faculties and Students participating in the 2024 ULM Presidential Election.3.14
Student activities are one part that is measured in measuring the main performance indicators for ULM and all universities, therefore student activity programs must be a priority and focus for the university to be able to show better ULM performance in the future.
Pilmapres or Selection of Outstanding Students itself is a student competition organized by the National Achievement Center which is under the auspices of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education every year. The aim is to give appreciation to the best students who are ready to become agents of change to build a better Indonesia.
With a focus on Bachelor and Diploma programs. Apart from that, this activity aims to provide motivation to students to carry out curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities as a vehicle for synergizing students’ hard skills and soft skills and encouraging universities to develop an academic culture that can facilitate students to achieve proud achievements on an ongoing basis.
ULM continues to be committed to always participating in competitions initiated by the Center. Under the auspices of the Vice Rector III for Student and Alumni Affairs, the Pilmapres Competition will continue to attract the best students on campus to become agents of change in the future. A total of 18 students from 10 faculties participated in this university level competition. Vice Rector III hopes for faculty participation to be able to actively participate in national student competitions.
“We have to be disciplined, because nationally (competition) if we miss out, that’s it”
This competition will bring outstanding ULM students selected at the university level to a competition at the regional level which will be held last April and then enter the final stage which will be held in June.
