Inspiration for Banua Youth: Osmar Zaidan and Anandyta Amalia Won 30 MUDA30 Awards with The Movement “We are Victims of Bullying”
Jakarta – The 30 MUDA30 Awards: The Future Shapers and Changemakers was successfully held on Saturday, March 9 2024 at the Thamrin Nine Ballroom, Central Jakarta. At this event, 30 young people from all over Indonesia were gathered to receive awards for their commitment and contributions to society.
The 30 MUDA30 awards are the first step in 2024 by Young Townhall, an initiative initiated by Global Future X and the Pijar Foundation as the opening of an innovative journey towards a better future. This award is given to 30 young people from various regions throughout Indonesia who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and contribution in social, economic or environmental initiatives. The recipients of this award were selected from 350 applicants through an assessment by a jury. They are considered to have succeeded in creating positive changes in various sectors, including education, health and social development.
One of the participants and recipients of the award event was Muhammad Osmar Zaidan Al-Wafi as Genre Ambassador for Banjarbaru City and Anandyta Amalia as Genre Ambassador for South Kalimantan Province who was a delegate from @KitaKorbanbullying which works on the issue of bullying.
KitaKorbanBullying is a South Kalimantan youth movement that focuses on eradicating bullying in Indonesia through online and offline education. They have succeeded in forming an Anti-Bully Student Task Force in 20 schools in South Kalimantan Province and recruited more than 1,300 volunteers to expand the impact to 13 Districts/Cities. The volunteers will become trainers-facilitators to form an Anti-Bully Student Task Force in 200+ high schools and 400+ middle schools throughout South Kalimantan. Currently, KitaKorbanBullying is recruiting volunteers for a national online campaign before International Anti-Bullying Day in May, with the aim of duplicating the trainer-facilitator concept and forming an Anti-Bully Student Task Force in schools throughout Indonesia.
Zaidan, as the Genre Ambassador for Banjarbaru City and the initiator of KitaKorbanBullying, expressed his impressions of this awards event, saying, “Currently there are a lot of Indonesian youth who are actively contributing to the country and with this youth forum, it is hoped that we will be able to collaborate and create an even bigger impact for this nation.”
Anandyta, as the South Kalimantan Province Genre Ambassador and initiator of KitaKorbanBullying, emphasized the importance of efforts to eradicate bullying cases to create a bullying-free Golden Indonesia 2045. “The issue of bullying is a very worrying issue, every day there are lots of news of bullying cases experienced by everyone. This certainly cannot continue, especially considering that the impact is no joke, especially on the mental health of the victims, the majority of whom are children and teenagers. “Eradicating cases of bullying must be carried out from now on to realize a bullying-free Golden Indonesia 2045.” she said.
Apart from the 30 young people who attended this event to receive awards, this award event was also attended and supported by the Special Staff of the President of the Republic of Indonesia for Social Affairs Angkie Yudistia, Acting Officer (Plt) of the State Administration of the Republic of Indonesia (LAN RI) Muhammad Taufiq, and the Mayor Bogor Bima Arya Sugiarto.
The 30 MUDA30 awards event has a vision to encourage more participation by Indonesian youth in policy making and promoting social innovation. KitaKorbanBullying as one of two award recipients from South Kalimantan is also expected to be an inspiration for the young generation in South Kalimantan to take action and bring change to Indonesia.
