Participation in UI Green Metric, ULM’s Form of Commitment to Environmental Conservation
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) shows its commitment to environmental conservation by participating in the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2025, an international event that assesses universities based on their concern and real action towards sustainability and the environment. ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad, S.E, M.Si has taken serious steps to realize this.
Through a meeting held on Thursday (24/04/2025) in the Wasaka 3 meeting room, 3rd floor of the Rectorate Building, Prof. Ahmad who was present via zoom meeting and ULM Vice Rector II Dr. Ir. Arief, RM, Akbar, M.Si, IPU held a meeting as a follow-up to the appointment of Prof. Dr. Atiek Winarti, M.Pd, M.Sc as the coordinator of the UI Green Metric Lambung Mangkurat Working Group Team in 2025 in the UI Green Metric Working Group Team Decree in 2025 2025.
Several working groups are also formed in this team such as Working Group I (Faculty Data Optimization), Working Group II (Setting, Infrastructure and Transportation), Working Group III (Energy, Climate Change, Waste & Water), Working Group IV (Education & Research), Website Manager, and Social Media and Content Writer Specialist.
In the meeting, the Vice Rector explained several important points including consolidation with PDAM Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru to improve the standards of hydrants in the campus environment. In addition, considering the important role of each faculty and other work units under ULM in completing UIGM data, he is also committed to providing rewards for work units that contribute to getting the best assessment.
“We will also internally rank all work units at ULM in meeting UIGM’s rules and we will provide incentives related to who will get the best assessment,” said Deputy Dr. Arief.
With the formation of this UIGM ULM team, assistance will be provided to other faculties and work units.
