Kemenpora & BKKBN RI Goes to Campus, Collaboration of the “Empowered Young Families Ready to Marry” Program
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) took its turn to host the 2024 BKKBN Goes to Campus event. The event was held on Wednesday (28/8/2024) at the Lecture Theater General Building ULM Banjarmasin. This year, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenpora RI) collaborated with the National Population and Family Planning Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BKKBN RI) in a collaboration of the Empowered Young Families Ready to Marry program.
As the person in charge of the activity, Assistant Deputy for Youth Leadership, Deputy for Youth Development, Kemenpora RI, Andi Susanto, said that this activity aims to provide education and increase the insight of young people who are studying at university.
“First, let me introduce myself as a native son of Banjarmasin. Regarding this collaborative program, I hope it can continue to increase the insight and knowledge of the youth who are currently studying at the Lambung Mangkurat University campus,” he said.
Great hopes for the youth in South Kalimantan, especially Banjarmasin, must continue to learn and develop themselves so that in the future they will not only play a role in their own region but can develop throughout Indonesia and even abroad.
“At least my presence at the Ministry of Youth and Sports as a native son of Banjarmasin can inspire the youth to become leaders nationally and even internationally,” he hoped.
ULM Rector Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., gave a welcoming speech accompanied by gratitude to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and BKKBN for giving them the trust to host activities that make young students prepare themselves to be ready for marriage and build empowered families.
“Thank you for the umpteenth time ULM has been trusted to host, previously there was POMNAS and now Goes to Campus Young Empowered Family-Ready to Marry, appreciation from the entire ULM academic community to the central government,” said Rector Ahmad when opening the event.
“The great hope is that the children of students, especially participants, can take advantage of it so that in the future they can appear as leaders from the smallest level of the family to the highest level that can be achieved,” he added.
It should be noted that the Goes to Campus series started from Semarang State University (Unnes) Central Java, then moved to Teuku Umar University (UTU) Aceh, continued to the eastern region of Indonesia, namely Khairun University (Unkhair) Ternate North Maluku. Continued to shift to the central region of Indonesia, namely at Tadulako University (Untad) Palu Central Sulawesi, and now at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Banjarmasin South Kalimantan.
Furthermore, efforts will be made to expand to more universities that are visited, so that youth services can be further improved both in quality and quantity. Goes to Campus ULM was attended by the Secretary of the Deputy for Youth Development of the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports, Subroto, representatives of the South Kalimantan Youth and Sports Agency, followed by 300 students from various faculties and study programs with speakers from Forensic Psychology Reza Indragiri Amriel, Certified Financial Planner Tejasari, Main Expert Policy Analyst of the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports Imam Gunawan, and from BKKBN.
