ULM Rector Attends 94th Anniversary Celebration of South Kalimantan

Banjarmasin – The Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) attended the 94th Anniversary of South Kalimantan Province, held at the South Kalimantan Governor’s Office courtyard in Banjarmasin on Wednesday (August 14, 2024). ULM Rector Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad, S.E., M.Si., was seen wearing traditional yellow Banjar attire, mingling with officials and other invited guests.

South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor was present to address all the attendees. During the event, the Governor also received an award from the Ministry of Village Development, Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (PDTT) for his commitment and achievements in accelerating rural development in South Kalimantan.

The 94th Anniversary celebration of South Kalimantan was inaugurated with a performance of the Mamanda theater. In addition to the Mamanda performance, a large-scale dance performance titled “Pahlawan Perempuan” was also featured during the celebration.

To mark the 94th Anniversary, the Governor organized a free meal event. Over 100 food stalls were set up, providing tens of thousands of free meals for the attendees. The South Kalimantan Provincial Government also hosted the 2024 Floating Market Cultural Tourism Festival to further enhance the celebration.
