Azizah and Gastin Represent ULM at Harvard College Project For Asian And International Relations 2024 Asia Conference
Banjarmasin, Students of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) will again represent ULM and Indonesia at the international level. The students are Andi Azizah Maulidia Budiarman and Gastin Gabriel Jangkang from the Medical Professional Education Study Program who were selected in the Harvard College Project For Asian And International Relations (HPAIR) 2024 Asia Conference.
Azizah explained that she and Gastin went through a fairly strict process starting in June 2024.
“The selection that must be passed includes document selection starting from motivation letter, curriculum vitae, transcription, to a short interview related to the motivation letter. We were given the opportunity to be interviewed by Harvard Students.” Said Azizah.
She further explained that in the first stage of the registration process, they attached around 20 of their latest achievements and also attached language proficiency certificates. On this occasion they wrote a motivation letter with a health theme according to their study program.
“We hope to be able to bring the good name of the alma mater, represent Indonesia well and build sustainable networking with students from various levels, disciplines, and countries.” said Azizah
HPAIR is an annual project held by Harvard University which has been implemented since 1991. To date, 50 conferences have been held in 20 different host countries around the world. This conference aims to connect current global leaders with future leaders in a dynamic forum for exchanging ideas. In addition to the conference, there is also an Impact Challenge competition. This year, HPAIR was held in Bangkok, Thailand. Harvard University collaborated with Chulalongkorn University for this year’s project.
