ULM Receives Operational Car Assistance from PT Adaro
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) received operational car assistance from PT. ADARO. This assistance was provided through the Director General of Planning at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Dr. Hanif Faisol Nurofiq as one of a series of Public Lecture events on the National Forest Monitoring System on Saturday (15/6/2024).
The symbolic handover of aid was carried out at the ULM Banjarbaru Auditorium and was received directly by ULM Vice Rector II Dr. Ir. Arief Rahman Maulana Akbar, M.Si., IPU. The Vice Rector really appreciates the attention given by PT. ADARO for ULM operations. A 4WD SUV unit was provided for operational management of mangrove and forestry land.
“Thank God, through the help of the Director General of Planning, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, ULM received Operational Car Assistance from PT. ADARO good luck. “Amen, rabbal alamin,” he said.
The Vice Rector also explained that ULM itself also has a campus garden in Pelaihari covering an area of 23 Ha which is planted with various kinds of plants such as palm oil, rubber and corn, some of which are produced regularly and are one of the main suppliers at PT. Japfa.
Furthermore, ULM also had the opportunity to manage 624 Ha of mangrove land from Inhutani. Apart from that, there are also several other lands that have been given the opportunity for ULM to be managed and have been visited by the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor for immediate use.
However, there were several obstacles that were felt when carrying out the survey, namely road access which was difficult to pass due to consolidated soil conditions. So this becomes an obstacle in how to manage the area with the availability of operational cars that are not designed for the existing soil conditions in the area
The Vice Rector is very grateful for the attention given. This is a form of PT’s support and synergy. ADARO for ULM to be successful in managing the land that will be used. It is hoped that this assistance will be of benefit to ULM for managing Inhutani land.
