ULM Participates in the 2024 World Water Forum in Bali

Delegation from Lambung Mangkurat University  at the 2024 World Water Forum in Bali represented by the Wetland Environmental Academic Support Unit in collaboration with the Kalimantan River Region Hall III Banjarmasin, participated in the 2024 World Water Forum activities in Bali during 18-25 May 2024 which Then.

ULM delegation coordinator, Mrs. Dr.Eng. Maya Amalia, ST, M.Eng as Head of UPA Wetland Environment brought 2 superior products resulting from ULM innovation, the first being the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, namely a Water Treatment Tool created by Mr. Dr. Totok Wianto and his team are able to turn peat water into drinkable water with a capacity of between 1-2 liters/minute. This tool is also reliable for equipment after hydrological disasters such as floods because it is also equipped with a solar cell. The second product is organic fertilizer made from water hyacinth, created by the Faculty of Agriculture with Mrs. Dessy Maulidya Maharani, M.Si and team.

These two products are a special attraction for visitors both from within and outside the country, especially as water treatment equipment has received special attention from the Ministry of PUPR and several River Basin Centers have carried out special coordination regarding product development with the ULM expert team. Special attention was also paid to foreign delegations who were interested in using the product in their countries, especially Brazil. The opportunity to take part in the exhibition provided by the Kalimantan River Region Hall III, through the Head of the Kalimantan River Region Hall III I Putu Eddy Purna Wijaya, MT had a very good impact on ULM’s progress towards becoming a World Class University.
