HIMA TEKPEND FKIP Holds Educational Technology Student Educational Gathering (TEMATIK) 2024

Banjarmasin, 26 April 2024 – The Education Technology Student Association (Hima Tekpend) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held an Educational Technology Student Education Gathering (TEMATIK). THEMATIC itself is one of the work programs of the PSDM (Student Resource Development) department of HIMA TEKPEND FKIP ULM, an educational work program specifically designed by the PSDM (Student Resource Development) department to equip educational technology students with relevant knowledge and skills. In this first THEMATIC, the PSDM Department of HIMA TEKPEND FKIP ULM highlighted the theme “Building Trust and Credibility through Increasing Public Speaking and Public Relations Skills” which aims to strengthen trust and credibility, especially in the realm of public speaking and public relations.
This event began with the registration process for participants from the classes of 2022 and 2023, as well as the administrators of HIMA TEKPEND FKIP ULM, which was then followed by an official opening ceremony hosted by the MC. The event continued with the singing of the national anthem “Indonesia Raya” and the ULM march, as an expression of respect for the homeland and alma mater.
The event continued with remarks from the chief executive, Rifkha Adji Zulfan, who gave remarks regarding the aims and hopes of this event. The second speech was delivered by the General Chair of HIMA TEKPEND FKIP ULM, Akhmad Fadhil Amara, who highlighted the important role of students in building trust and credibility. The final speech was given by the representative of the educational technology lecturer, Mr. Agus Hadi Utama, M.Pd who provided an academic perspective related to the theme of the event.
The most important part of this event was when the leading resource person, Ka Siti Salimah, who is known as a public speaker, Business Enthusiast, and Counselor with various achievements that have inspired many people, provided in-depth insight into public speaking techniques and effective public relations strategies. After delivering fascinating material, the event continued with an interactive question and answer session, giving participants the opportunity to discuss directly with him.
The event also included a mini public speaking practice, where participants were given the opportunity to immediately practice the skills they had just learned. This opportunity provides valuable experience for participants to hone their skills in public speaking. Then this first THEMATIC event closed with closing words from the MC, followed by a group photo session as a memento of this precious moment.
