Minister of Investment/BPKM Present at ULM, Gives Public Lecture Regarding Investment Potential in IKN
Banjarbaru – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a public lecture presented by the Minister of Investment/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) of the Republic of Indonesia, Bahlil Lahadali, S.E., M.Sc. The public lecture discussing the potential for investment in IKN as an effort to encourage national economic growth was held at the ULM Banjarbaru Auditorium on Thursday (2/5/2024).
More than 1,300 students from various faculties at ULM attended the public lecture delivered by the Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia. The presence of students at this event is clear evidence of the young generation’s enthusiasm for economic and investment issues, as well as their desire to play an active role in the nation’s economic development. Meanwhile, the Rector of ULM, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., and his staff were also present to welcome Minister Bahlil and listen to the public lecture delivered.
Based on the presentation given by the Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia, he highlighted the importance of synergy between the government, business world and universities in developing a sustainable investment sector that has a broad impact on the Indonesian economy. This of course requires an understanding of the investment potential in IKN as well as the government’s strategy in optimizing this potential.
According to Bahlil Lahadalia, the large number of students who attended the public lecture showed students’ enthusiasm for participating in discussions about investment and economic development.
“Students are agents of future change. “Their involvement in formulating innovative solutions in investment development will be very valuable for our economic progress,” he said.
On this occasion, Prof. Ahmad as Rector of ULM expressed his thanks in his speech. He welcomed the presence of the Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia and expressed the university’s commitment to supporting the government’s efforts to optimize investment in IKN for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
“Through this public lecture, it is not only an opportunity to gain new knowledge, but also a momentum to build networks between the government, universities and the business world to support Indonesia’s future economic development vision.” said Prof Ahmad.
He hopes that in the future, with the spirit of collaboration that exists, Indonesia can continue to move forward as a country that is competitive and has a positive impact on its people.
