Rindy Yusnita Wins Runner-Up for Millennial Ambassador of Rupiah Movement from Bank Indonesia
Rindy Yusnita Putri achieved the runner-up position as the Millennial Ambassador for the Rupiah Movement at the Indonesian Sovereign Rupiah Festival (FERBI) 2024. The Accounting student from the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) succeeded in advancing to the finals after winning first place at the KPwBI South Kalimantan Provincial level.
FERBI is a national event organized by the Bank Indonesia Representative Office in Domestic (KPwDN) across Indonesia to foster a sense of nationalism and love for the country. FERBI included a series of educational activities about the Rupiah to the public through the Cinta, Bangga, Paham (CBP) Rupiah initiative. The event featured various activities such as a boot camp from August 13-15, 2024, and the main festival held from August 16-18.
The competition included various contests, one of which Rindy participated in: the Millennial Ambassador for CBP Rupiah. Under the theme “Empowering Unity, Inspiring the Next Generation!”, the contest assessed participants’ personality, confidence, and public speaking skills, particularly in their role as CBP Rupiah educators in Indonesia.
In an interview with the Public Relations team, Rindy shared her experience participating in the Millennial Ambassador for CBP Rupiah competition. One challenge she faced was time constraints, as the gap between the preliminary and final rounds was short, limiting her ability to conduct offline education effectively.
“To overcome this, I maximized the use of my personal social media to post interactive content that could increase awareness about how to love, feel proud of, and understand the Rupiah,” she said.
Initially feeling insecure, Rindy eventually accepted that everyone has their own strengths, including herself. She also received support from her family, friends, and peers.
“Their support made me mentally stronger to continue in the competition and face other participants,” Rindy added.
To prepare for the competition, Rindy said she focused on better understanding the concepts of Love, Proud, and Understanding Rupiah. She also researched engaging and fun ways to educate the public about CBP Rupiah through social media. Her background as an Accounting student also facilitated her preparation, as she was already very familiar with the Rupiah.
Participating in this national event left a special impression on Rindy.
“I am very happy to have met friends from all over Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke, with diverse ethnicities, cultures, and languages,” Rindy said.
Additionally, through FERBI 2024, Rindy had the opportunity to visit the money printing facility, Perum Peruri.
“I was able to see the process of creating paper and metal Rupiah, from planning to distribution! It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!” Rindy enthusiastically shared.
