PSPPDGPP Students and RSGM Gusti Hasan Aman Conduct Community Service at the Siring Menara Pandang
Banjarmasin – In order to commemorate the anniversary of the Gusti Hasan Aman Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) as well as the anniversary of the South Kalimantan Province, RSGM and students of the Dentistry Professional Education Study Program (PSPPDGPP) together conducted community service at the Siring Menara Pandang in Banjarmasin on Sunday (28/7/2024).
The activity, which was also to celebrate the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia which will fall on August 17, involved 10 PSPPDGPP coass students, 10 members of the BEM Faculty of Dentistry, 5 Dentists, General Practitioners and Nurses at RSGM.
In addition, this activity is also a form of socialization of RSGM to the wider community regarding its existence and role that can be utilized or used. Assisted by the presence of PSPPDGPP ULM students, RSGM is increasingly providing comprehensive services to the community or patients.
This is also proven by the social service activities carried out where all parties, both RSGM employees and PSPPDGPP ULM students who are actively involved in providing socialization regarding how to brush teeth properly.
In addition, this activity also holds dental and oral examinations and simple health checks such as cholesterol, blood sugar and uric acid. The actions that can be taken include actions for cavities, tartar or tooth decay that can be treated by ULM Dental Profession Students or RSGM specialist doctors.
It is hoped that with this event, the public will increasingly know about the existence of RSGM and ULM Dental Profession students who are involved in it as a forum to support their skills and abilities
“In their educational journey, students must seek and fulfill existing requests for cases where the public is still less aware of dental and oral health,” said drg Debby.
With support from various parties such as the ULM Faculty of Dentistry, and the South Kalimantan Regional Dental Association and several other sponsors, it is hoped that this activity will continue to run in order to provide information and quality services that can be reached by various levels of society.
