Rector Targets ULM to Enter the Top 5 in the 2024 BLU League
Banjarmasin – Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., invited all Deans and Heads of Study Programs within ULM to the IKU Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and management of cooperation at the FEB Lecture Theater on Wednesday (17/7/2024). This FGD was carried out in preparation for the IKU achievement evaluation meeting which will be attended by the Rector and Vice Rector for Planning, General Affairs and Finance in Jakarta.
Based on the Rector’s statement, ULM’s current achievements have generally improved compared to 2022 where ULM is still ranked 32nd in the BLU league. “This year we rose in ranking and are in 13th place in the BLU league, but it is still not in line with my target,” said the Rector.
The Rector has a target to bring ULM to reach the top 5 rankings in the BLU league this year. He expressed encouragement to each faculty and study program to actively carry out various activities that can increase IKU achievement, especially IKU 2 and IKU 6.
He advised faculties and study programs to formulate student activities in order to utilize BOPTN funds.
“Formulate a program, the output must be clear.
“Later there will be a Working Group that coordinates directly under the Rector, starting from university level to study programs,” he concluded.
Key Performance Indicators are a tool for measuring PTN performance which will determine PTN classification as well as resource and budget support facilitated by the Directorate General of Higher Education.
IKU 2 reads “students gain experience outside campus” with the scope including work internships, research, village projects, student exchanges, entrepreneurship, teaching activities, and student achievements outside campus.
IKU 6 states “study programs in collaboration with world-class partners”, where universities are expected to collaborate with partners to perfect study programs through programs such as internships, student exchanges, graduate absorption, etc.
In this FGD, ULM presented 2 (two) presenters who would also spark the discussion, namely Muhammad Naufal Vadina, S.Sos., and Muhammad Syarifuddin Fajri, S.Ikom., from the Secretariat General of Diktiristek.
