Holding a Phase 2 Scholarship Opening Seminar, 10 Official ULM Study Programs Can Be Selected by Prospective LPDP Students

Banjarmasin – Education is a basic need for every individual. Often education is hampered due to the limited costs faced by the individual. However, this is no longer an obstacle for anyone who really wants to pursue education. Scholarships that have been provided from various sources can be found everywhere.

One of them is the LPDP Scholarship (Education Fund Management Institute) which is a scholarship program organized by the Indonesian government through the Ministry of Finance. LPDP provides opportunities for Indonesian sons and daughters to continue their education to master’s (S2) and doctoral (S3) levels both domestically and abroad. This scholarship aims to produce quality Indonesian human resources and contribute to national development.

Head of the Collaboration and Scholarship Development Division, Agam Bayu Suryanto and his staff chose Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) as the venue for the 2024 Phase 2 LPDP Scholarship Opening Seminar on Thursday (4/7/2024) as well as providing a presentation regarding important information and tips for qualify for the LPDP scholarship.

This activity, which was carried out in the lecture theater building at the Faculty of Economics and Business, aims to introduce more deeply the procedures and mechanisms that must be carried out to participants who wish to receive an LPDP scholarship.

This is the second stage of opening the 2024 LPDP Scholarship which was previously carried out last January. The invitees, who were dominated by lecturers and students, seemed enthusiastic and interested in this program. They seriously listened to the presentation and also asked questions during the question and answer session.

Dr. In his presentation, Agam explained that LPDP registrants were increasing even though the recipient quota was still limited. The wider community and academic community who wish to continue their Masters and Doctoral studies without having to leave their hometown can apply for an LPDP scholarship at the university of ULM’s choice. Dr. Agam further said that ULM itself has 10 study programs that can be chosen as destinations for LPDP scholarship recipients

“There are 10 study programs to choose from, including development administration, education administration, agricultural economics, public health, management, early childhood education, social science education, physical education, development studies and chemical engineering,” he said.

This is like tit for tat with the Rector of ULM Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad, S.E., M.Si who really appreciated this activity. He has high hopes that many people will be selected to receive LPDP scholarships at ULM.

“The most important thing is how to make ULM one of the universities that organizes or distributes LPDP scholarships,” said the Rector.

The Rector also mentioned that ULM students continuing their studies back to ULM was an act of achieving higher education KPI. Therefore, it is hoped that this seminar will open the way for ULM lecturers, especially alumni, to grow together and build ULM into the best university and choice that is increasingly known to the wider community.
