PMM Batch 4 Almost Over, ULM Holds the 2024 Nusantara Kharisma Festival
BANJARMASIN – Lambung Mangkurat University held the Release of Inbound Students from the Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM) class 4 of 2024. Dozens of students from various state (PTN) and private (PTS) universities throughout Indonesia gathered at the General Building Lecture Theatre, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) on Thursday (13/6/2024).
Taking the theme “Nusantara Charisma Festival: Knitting Diversity, Caring for Culture, Strengthening the National Spirit”, this activity was attended by Vice Rector IV ULM Dr. Yusuf Azis, MSc, and ULM PMM Coordinator Prof. Suratno, MPd. Astri Puteri as a representative from the Ministry of Education and Culture also attended virtually.
In this year’s PMM program, as many as 96 students from 53 PTNs and PTS throughout Indonesia have completed their study period at ULM, with details of 73 students at the ULM Banjarmasin campus and 23 students at the ULM Banjarbaru campus.
Dr. Yusuf Azis, MSc, as Vice Rector for Cooperation, Public Relations and Information Systems at ULM in his speech emphasized the importance of this program as an effort to strengthen national unity and unity.
“This program is not just a student exchange, but also an exchange of culture, ideas and national spirit,” he said.
Prof. Suratno, MPd, as the Independent Student Exchange Coordinator, added that this activity was an important moment in the students’ academic and national journey.
“We hope that the experience gained during this program can enrich insight and strengthen the feeling of love for the country,” he said.
Astri Puteri from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology, who attended virtually, expressed the hope that this semester’s experience would be a good step for the future and motivate students to become national leaders who care about others.
One of the participants, Alan Rahman Rendra, a student at the Special Education Department at Padang State University, expressed his joy.
“This is my first experience of going to South Kalimantan and studying at ULM through the PMM 2024 program. I am very happy, and at the ULM campus access for disabled students is good. “After returning to campus, I will give information about how beautiful South Kalimantan is and my study experience at ULM,” he said.
