Integrated Patent Services DJKI and ULM Encourage Easy and Timely Patent Services
Banjarmasin – Socialization of Integrated Patent Services or Patent One Stop Service (POSS) was held at the Lecture Theater General Building, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Tuesday (4/6/2024). This activity was organized by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) in collaboration with the South Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and ULM.
This activity was carried out for 3 (three) days and was attended by 150 participants funded by DIPA DJKI, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, and ULM. Previously, on June 3, an industrial visit was carried out to PT Anak Ayu Bangun Nusantara which operates in the field of waste management and Kalimantan herbal medicine. In the next 2 (two) days, there will be assistance in completing patent rights with a target of 50 applications.
Aribudhi Nugroho Suyono as Principal Patent Examiner from DJKI in his speech conveyed the purpose of this activity.
“The aim of this activity is to complete the patent applications submitted by universities, R&D institutions and business actors in a timely manner,” he said.
ULM Vice Rector for Cooperation, Public Relations and Information Systems Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc., on this occasion also expressed his appreciation to the DJKI and the South Kalimantan Ministry of Law and Human Rights. Through this activity, ULM as a university can be helped to obtain patents from the results of research carried out.
Ramlan Harun, Head of the Legal and Human Rights Services Division of the South Kalimantan Ministry of Law and Human Rights, expressed his hope that through this activity he could increase participants’ understanding regarding Integrated Patent Services.
“This patent service is very important for universities, R&D institutions, and business actors to know about the process, starting from the application, assistance, until the patent rights are obtained,” said Ramlan.
Integrated patent services, delivered by Ramlan, can be used by anyone. This is because the information in patent rights is open and can be accessed by the public. Apart from that, information related to patent technology in services is also an indicator of service development.
