LMMC ULM Banjarbaru is Again Carrying Out LAFKESPRI Accreditation
Banjarbaru – Lambung Mangkurat Medical Center (LMMC) as a health service unit at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), all ULM academics and the community have the mandate to serve in the health sector with all their heart. However, the best service is not just limited to serving but must also be met with a strong system, namely recognition and achieving accreditation from an Accreditation agency.
LAFKESFRI is a Health Facilities Accreditation Institution (LAFKESPRI) which has long been collaborating with LMMC ULM in achieving accreditation. Previously, LAFKESPRI had given “Plenary” accreditation as recognition of the high quality and service standards to LMMC.
On Tuesday (22/5/2024), LMMC again carried out Accreditation activities by inviting a surveyor from LAFKESPRI, namely Dr. Fahriadi, SKM, M.Kes, FISQua, FRSPH, CQMH and Dr. Dr. Hj. Endah Labati Silapurna MHKes. This activity was also accompanied by Prof. Dr. Drs. Eko Suhartono, M.Si as Head of the LMMC ULM Clinic, Person in Charge of the LMMC Banjarbaru Clinic, Dr. Iskandar, M.Kes, Sp.A, doctors, dentists, nurses and staff on duty at the Clinic.
This activity, which took place in the Health Sciences Master’s Room, was a clarification activity as well as input provided by the surveyor team after carrying out online sending and checking of files/documents the day before. On this occasion, the surveyor team provided recommendations for improvements from the search results which were then followed by providing clarification from the LMMC ULM Banjarbaru team.
Overall, LMMC ULM Banjarbaru has met the considerations of the existing surveyor team in terms of administration, service and team cohesion. Coupled with more than sufficient human resources, this is an additional point for surveyors. However, the team emphasized several things, namely in terms of administration and policies that must be updated as well as the provision of adequate infrastructure. Don’t forget that monitoring and evaluation must be carried out continuously so that assessments can be carried out easily.
“Good planning, good implementation, the problem is often there is no monitoring and evaluation,” said Dr. Fahriadi
The event continued with a survey conducted at the LMMC Clinic together with a team of surveyors to carry out service simulations and search the system to see whether the service process provided was in accordance with existing SOPs.
