ULM Holds LKMM-TM, Trains Students’ Managerial Skills
Apart from being a place for students pursuing academic studies, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) also provides opportunities to develop students’ interests, talents and organizational abilities, one of which is through training in student managerial skills. ULM held Intermediate Level Student Management Skills Training (LKMM-TM) for the first time. The training was held for 3 consecutive days from 17-19 May 2024 at Puspitek Agripeka, Sungai Riam, Pelaihari.
This activity was attended by 40 students who had been selected from all university student organizations. They will take part in training with a total duration of 50 hours and 10 material sessions to equip students with insight and organizational skills. The various materials provided in this training aim to equip students with insight and skills to coordinate, develop and foster work teams in forming or developing organizations and networks.
The opening of the activity was carried out by the Vice Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs at ULM Dr. Muhammad Rusmin Nuryadin, S.E., M.Sc., at the Lecture Theater Mini Hall 4 SAC ULM Banjarmasin on Friday (17/5/2024). Next, activities were carried out at Puspitek Agripeka with two national presenters, namely Mr. Ir. Bambang Sulistiyanto, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., I.P.U from Diponegoro University and Mrs. Dr. Siti Nurul Hidayati, M.Pd from Surabaya State University who is a recommendation from BELMAWA DIKTI.
Through the LKMM-TM activity, 2 (two) participants will be selected as candidates to take part in the next level, namely Advanced Student Management Skills Training (LKMM-TL). The final level is the Advanced Level LKMM which has a duration of 63 hours which aims to equip students with insight and critical synthesis analysis skills in building and managing public opinion (discourse).

Debby Saputera, Sp.Pros., said that by holding this activity, participants can improve their discipline, self and group management, decision making, ability to express ideas, as well as knowledge about digital financial literacy so that they can achieve more in many fields and can complete their studies successfully. good and on time.
Through the activities provided in LKMM-TM, it is hoped that in the future students as future leaders of the nation can become mature people who are not only strong leaders who have mastery of the science of leadership (leadership as a science) and have experience managing and leading an organization (leadership as a science). art), but also those who have competencies that are in line with the demands of development and society in the future when students live their lives as members of society in the framework of national and social life.
