67 PKM Proposals Passed Funding Between ULM Rank 6 Nationally

Banjarmasin – A total of 67 proposals from the Student Creativity Program (PKM) team at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) passed the 2024 PKM funding from the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. This figure is an increase compared to the previous year with total funding reaching Rp. 556,970,000,- and makes ULM rank 6th as a university with the number of funded proposals in Indonesia.

The total of 67 proposals consists of 21 PKM proposals in the field of Social Humanities Research (PKM-RSH), 1 PKM proposal in the field of Video Constructive Ideas (PKM-VGK), 28 PKM proposals in the field of Exact Research (PKM-RE), 7 PKM proposals in the field of Community Service Community (PKM-PM), 4 PKM proposals in the field of Creative Creation (PKM-KC), and 6 PKM proposals in the field of Entrepreneurship (PKM-K).

Based on the recapitulation of the distribution per faculty, this year the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences was again the recipient of the most funding, with 25 proposals, followed by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences with 21 proposals, and the Faculty of Engineering with 7 proposals. The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and the Faculty of Agriculture each contributed 2 proposals. The Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics and Business, and Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences each received 1 funding proposal.

The Student Creativity Program (PKM) is an event for Indonesian student creativity which is held under the coordination of the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs. PKM has been held every year since 1988 as an effort to foster student creativity and innovation in shaping students’ character and thinking and acting skills. This creativity program specifically for students follows technological developments in the era of the industrial revolution in preparing human resources that are able to compete in the global era.

To date, there are 10 PKM criteria, namely PKM Exact Research (PKM-RE), PKM Social Humanities Research (PKM-RSH), PKM Entrepreneurship (PKM-K), PKM Community Service (PKM-PM), PKM Application of Science and Technology ( PKM-PI), PKM Karsa Cipta (PKM-KC), PKM Innovative Work (PKM-KI), PKM Video Constructive Ideas (PKM-VGK), PKM Written Futuristic Ideas (PKM-GFT), PKM Scientific Articles (PKM-AI ).

Student Creativity Week 2024 is scheduled to take place over 3-4 months with output targets in the form of progress reports, final reports, PKM products and advertised social media accounts. The PKM program is also designed to run in harmony and in accordance with the MBKM and IKU targets by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture.
