Banjarmasin – 4 teams from Lambung Mangkurat University succeeded in obtaining grant funds for the Palm Oil Research Grant Program from the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) Team. The successful team is then required to present the research program proposal that they will carry out through the Palm Oil Research Grant Monitoring and Evaluation activity. The activity, which was held on Wednesday (6/3/2024) in the ULM LPPM Hall, featured the BPDPKS Team, ULM Vice Rector II, LPPM Chair Prof. Sunardi, Secretary of LPPM and Palm Oil Grant Recipient Team at ULM.
This activity is an agenda for carrying out monitoring and evaluation related to 4 research projects that are being managed at ULM. On this occasion, many committees were also present, so it is hoped that this can be an important moment to dig up the information needed to submit the BPDPKS proposal again. The aim of holding this monitoring and evaluation is to see the development of research and based on these observations it will also be used as a consideration to find solutions to the challenges faced so that we can provide recommendations for research whether it can be carried out or not.
The Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) is an institution which is a non-echelon organizational unit in the field of Palm Oil Plantation Fund management which is under and responsible to the Minister of Finance through the Directorate General of Treasury.
BPDPKS is tasked with carrying out the management of Palm Oil Plantation Funds, both development funds and development reserve funds in accordance with policies established by the Minister of Finance, and based on applicable laws and regulations.
The task that must be carried out is to manage and grow palm oil development funds in a professional, transparent, accountable and sustainable manner to ensure the sustainability of the sustainable palm oil program as a form of improvement and stability of strategic commodities.
The LPPM chairman who opened this activity was very enthusiastic and appreciative. He hopes that the monitoring and evaluation process can have a positive impact on the progress of the research being carried out. Apart from that, it is hoped that this meeting moment can provide learning suggestions and guidance to achieve the objectives of conducting research for ULM.
“We hope that our research can reach downstream and commercialization because this is currently our focus,” he said.
