The Planned Generation Ambassador, commonly abbreviated as Duta GenRe, is an event run under the supervision of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) and is held periodically every year. In 2024, this activity will take place from June to August. The selection process for GenRe Ambassador candidates, which involves teenagers aged between 16 and 22 years, is carried out strictly.

Extraordinary! That might be the word that can describe the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences ULM, especially for PIK-MA Humanis Philia. Not without reason, eight representatives from PIK-MA Humanis Philia FKIK ULM managed to pass the strict selection which then led them to become finalists and win various titles that were given to them. The eight students are Undergraduate Medical Study Program (PSKPS) students named Muhammad Fachriyad (South Kalimantan Male GenRe Ambassador 2024), Undergraduate Nursing Study Program students named Renny Auliarahman Agustiani (Vice 1 Female GenRe Ambassador South Kalimantan 2024), Psychology Study Program students named Muhammad Osmar Zaidan Al Wafi (Vice 3 Male GenRe Ambassador South Kalimantan 2024), Adira Alisyaban Zamluni (Female GenRe Intelligence Ambassador 2024), Siti Humairah (Female Favorite GenRe Ambassador 2024), and Public Health Study Program students named Amelia Rahma (Vice 2 Female GenRe Ambassador South Kalimantan 2024), Raditya Ghaitsa AG (Male Friendship GenRe Ambassador 2024), and Muhammad Andrian Agusetiawan (Male Favorite GenRe Ambassador 2024).

The winner of the 2024 Male GenRe Ambassador title, Muhammad Fachriyad, did not forget to express his gratitude for the achievements he had achieved, he stated that in order to prepare himself to take part in this event, he began to become part of the PIK-MA (Student Information and Counseling Center) Humanis Philia organization. Since the beginning, FKIK has provided a lot of support and facilities that have been very helpful. The campus helped me from the initial registration stage (registration), provided intensive guidance, to going through each selection stage, from the first selection to the second selection. When I succeeded in becoming a Genre Ambassador finalist, the support from FKIK continued. In addition, my friends also provided extraordinary encouragement. They helped me by discussing and discussing various trending cases that were currently being discussed and deepening my understanding of the 8 main substances of Genre. This support and collaboration are very valuable for me in preparing myself to face every challenge and stage in the selection of this Genre Ambassador. With thorough preparation and strong support, especially from my parents and closest family, I feel more confident to give my best in this competition.

Renny Auliarahman Agustiani (Vice 1 of the GenRe Putri South Kalimantan 2024 Ambassador), expressed her gratitude for being part of the FKIK family, because she was always given support, direction and facilities to be able to achieve achievements. On the way, my preparation for the selection of this ambassador started from being part of the PIK-MA (Student Information and Counseling Center) Humanis Philia. which has provided a lot of support and facilities that have been very helpful in improving my abilities. Over time, I was finally elected as the Chairperson of the Banjarbaru City Branch of Genre Indonesia and this was a great pride and mandate for me. Finally, when I was declared to have passed as one of the Genre Ambassador Finalists even though I had failed the previous year, support from FKIK continued to prepare for the quarantine stage. I am very happy to follow the coaching from FKIK because I was taught many things that I had never encountered. Not to forget the support from my parents, lecturers and other peers always accompany me in the process of my journey to make me a Healthy, Smart and Cheerful Teenager. The success of the eight students cannot be separated from the support provided by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Lambung Mangkurat University through the Student and Alumni Potential Development Unit (UPPMA) in collaboration with PIK-MA Humanis Philia FKIK ULM. Coaching and mentoring are carried out systematically and structured involving a team of lecturers, alumni and alumni of Genre ambassadors as mentors with various activities such as providing material about GenRe, sharing alumni of GenRe Ambassadors, public speaking training facilitated by Dian Hasrie Class which provides tips on managing performance and Grand Final simulations.

Fauzie Rahman, SKM., MPH as the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni of FK ULM said that the achievements of FKIK ULM students in the Appreciation Event The South Kalimantan Province Genre Ambassador is an achievement that must always be maintained and shows that this event is part of the actualization of FKIK students in honing their abilities and knowledge about Genre and the implementation of competencies as medical and health students through coaching carried out to maximize the development of student abilities.

Neka Erlyani as the PIC for the ULM FKIK Ambassador Development added that the selected Genre Ambassadors representing ULM are students who have participated in the provisioning program for Ambassadors facilitated by ULM FKIK as an effort to optimize the potential and interests of students. The program is consistently carried out every year under the auspices of the Pusbinpres and has received full support from the vice dean for student affairs, ULM FKIK. The same thing was also conveyed by Andini Octaviana Putri as the Supervisor of PIK-MA Humanis Philia “This proud achievement cannot be separated from the support of all parties and the high spirit of achievement from the students. I express my highest appreciation to the students who have fought and made the name of the Study Program, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences ULM and PIK-MA Humanis Philia proud. Hopefully the selected GenRe Ambassadors can carry out their mandate as well as possible and continue to spread benefits and goodness to all teenagers in Indonesia, especially in South Kalimantan Province,” she said.

The selected GenRe Ambassadors will be role models for the South Kalimantan Provincial Representative in educating teenagers. They aim to increase the understanding of the younger generation about reproductive health and promote a lifestyle free from drug use and the spread of HIV/AIDS. In order to achieve this goal, they will also bring a message about the KRR Triad, which includes issues of premarital sex, early marriage, and the dangers of NAPZA (Drugs, Alcohol, and Other Addictive Substances). In addition, they will also encourage teenagers to have the responsibility to delay the age of marriage, plan family life wisely, and create a happy and prosperous small family.

The achievements of these 8 students are expected not only to be enough at this event, but continue to burn in achieving other achievements. In addition, this is also expected to be an encouragement for other students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences to continue to excel in both academic and non-academic fields.

PIK-MA Humanis Philia once again swept up achievements at the 2024 South Kalimantan Province GenRe Ambassador Appreciation Event.
