Banjarbaru \u2013 Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) held an Introduction to Campus Activities for New Students or PKKMB 2024. Carrying the theme “Building Student Character Towards a Dignified ULM”, this activity was held for two days, namely August 13-14, 2024 at the ULM Banjarbaru Auditorium.<\/p>\r\n

This activity was opened with a ceremony to put on an alma mater jacket for one representative of a disabled student and 11 representatives of students from each faculty. After that, it was continued with the reading of the New Student Pledge led by two male and female ULM students.<\/p>\r\n

On this occasion, ULM Rector Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad, S.E., M.Sc., introduced the university leadership and faculty leaders. He also conveyed a message to the new students about the importance of effort and endeavor during college to achieve the best achievements.<\/p>\r\n

“Although friendly on campus, there needs to be healthy competition between students to be able to give the best for themselves and their alma mater,” he said enthusiastically.<\/p>\r\n

More than 6,400 new students were spread across several locations centered in the ULM Auditorium. During the two days, new students were exposed to various materials to prepare themselves for their daily lives as students later. In addition, ULM also prepared an agenda such as introducing various student organizations (ormawa<\/i><\/em>) and outstanding students.<\/p>\r\n

Dr. Iwan Afalabie, dr. Sp.F., M.Kes as the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Dr. H. Rusmin Nuryadin, S.E., M.Si., as the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni took turns for 2 (two) days providing materials related to their respective fields.<\/p>\r\n

On the first day of PKKMB, new students were given material on student character development. There are at least 3 (three) character development materials, namely:<\/p>\r\n\r\n

  1. Understanding of National Life, State Life, and Fostering of National Defense Awareness by Commander of Danrem 101 Antasari Brigadier General TNI Ari Aryanto, S.E, M.I.P.;<\/li>\r\n \t
  2. Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence, Intolerance, Anti-Violence and Anti-Bullying by Lena Hanifah, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., as Deputy Chairperson of the ULM PPKS Task Force.<\/li>\r\n \t
  3. Understanding the Dangers of Radicalism, Terrorism, and Drugs by the South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Winarto S.H., M.H.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    As for the second day of PKKMB, the agenda will be filled with an introduction to university-level student organizations, socialization of various services available at ULM, and an introduction to outstanding students.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
