Banjarmasin \u2013 Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) hosted the Guidance and Counseling (BK) Media Fest Competition for Students which was initiated by the National Level Counseling Guidance and Academic Support Unit (UPA BK) on Thursday (30\/5\/2024). This lively activity brought together students from various universities in Indonesia to compete in three categories: scientific papers, posters, and guidance and counseling videos.<\/p>\n

The event was officially opened by the\u00a0ULM Caretaker of the head academic bureau, Dr. Hj Nieke Rezeki Febriyanti, S.E., M.M.,. He conveyed the importance of the role of guidance and counseling in supporting the educational process and developing student character. Apart from that, this activity is also a means to foster student creativity and innovation in the field of Guidance Counseling.<\/p>\n

“Hopefully it will run smoothly until completion and hope that this activity can continue to motivate students to innovate and contribute to the development of the field of guidance and counseling.” Said ULM Caretaker of the head academic bureau.<\/p>\n

Scientific Writing<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>The scientific writing competition is an opportunity for students to present their research in the field of guidance and counseling. The finalists demonstrated their ability to present research results that are innovative and relevant to current issues in the world of education and counseling. The jury consisting of academics and BK practitioners provides assessments based on originality, research quality, and contribution to the development of guidance and counseling science.<\/p>\n

Poster Category<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

The poster competition is a forum for students to express their ideas visually. The posters on display are not only aesthetically attractive, but also convey important messages related to guidance and counseling. Creativity and the ability to convey information effectively are the keys to assessment in this category.<\/p>\n

Guidance and Counseling Video Category<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

The guidance and counseling video category presents educational and inspirational video works. The videos shown are able to package information about guidance and counseling in a way that is interesting and easy for the audience to understand. The participants demonstrated their ability to create informative, creative and entertaining video content.<\/p>\n

The Guidance and Counseling Media Competition for National Level Students at ULM succeeded in becoming a very useful event for students to hone their creativity and academic abilities. Through this competition, it is hoped that a young generation will be born who is not only intellectually intelligent, but also has a high level of concern for the development of guidance and counseling in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

The participants who attended were students who had entered the National category. This competition was attended by 120 teams (poster category), 24 teams (scientific writing category), 13 teams in the video category. The selection of winners will be carried out from 24-27 May and will be attended offline and online, and the 7 best teams (poster category), 3 best (scientific writing category), and 4 best videos (video category) will be selected.<\/p>\n

Chief Executive of Activities Hendro Yulius, S.Pd., M.Psi explained that the BK Competition is a fairly large competition in Indonesia. He also did not forget to encourage the competition participants to give the best possible results.<\/p>\n

“Don’t be discouraged whatever the result,” he said.<\/p>\n

Head of UPA BK ULM Dr. Hj. Ririn also appreciated the activities that had been carried out by UPA BK. This is one of the tasks of this unit to provide guidance and counseling services, especially for internal students, lecturers and educational staff within ULM.<\/p>\n

“Where are you, if you have taken part in this competition, it means you have measured your abilities,” said the Head of UPA BK ULM<\/p>\n

After going through a strict judging process, the following is a list of winners from each category:<\/p>\n

Scientific Writing Competition Category:<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

1st Place: Elma Mufida \u2013 Lambung Mangkurat University<\/p>\n

2nd place: Nisrina Khairani and Sisi Apriyanti \u2013 Jakarta State University<\/p>\n

3rd place: Silandi Ayu Setyo Budi and Indah Setiya Rahayu N \u2013 Surabaya State University<\/p>\n
