Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) through the Student and Alumni Development Department conducted training “Workshop on Tips and Tricks to Become a Champion of the Ria Statistics Competition and Data Science Festival (SATRIA DATA)”. The training was held in the Einstein Hall, MIPA Faculty Building, ULM Banjarbaru on Friday (26\/4\/2024).<\/p>\n
Dozens of students from the FMIPA ULM Bachelor of Statistics study program were invited to take part in the training in preparation for the 2024 SATRIA DATA competition. Dr. Bagus Sartono, S.Si., M.Sc., a lecturer in Statistics and Data Science from the Bogor Agricultural Institute was invited by ULM to provide tips and tricks for facing the 2024 SATRIA DATA competition.<\/p>\n
SATRIA DATA is an annual statistics and data science competition held by the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas). Quoting from the official website of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, the SATRIA DATA competition aims to: (1) Introduce statistics and data science as well as professions and fields of work more broadly; (2) Develop interest and motivation in the fields of statistics and data science and their applications; (3) Increasing knowledge and skills as a statistician and data scientist so that they are ready to enter the world of work; (4) Facilities for implementing Independent Learning-Free Campus (MBKM).<\/p>\n
In 2024, SATRIA DATA is planned to be held at Telkom University Bandung. There are 4 (four) competition branches available in this competition, namely the National Statistics Competition (NSC), Big Data Challenge (BDC), Statistics Essay Competition (SEC), and Statistics Infographic Competition (SIC).<\/p>\n
