Psychology students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) made another achievement. Muhammad Osmar Zaidan Al Wafi and Adira Alisyaban Zamluni, who are both ULM Psychology students class of 2023, are the pair of Planning Generation (GenRe) Ambassadors for Banjarbaru City in 2024.<\/p>\r\n

Given the opportunity to deliver a speech to all the finalists on the night of the grand final (23\/2\/2024), Zaidan raised the bullying case as his topic.<\/p>\r\n

According to him, bullying is a critical problem that can hamper the demographic bonus. The rise in these cases is due to a lack of public awareness and a good system for handling and preventing bullying.<\/p>\r\n

Zaidan voiced the importance of the role of youth in eradicating bullying. “Indonesian youth must have the courage to support victims and vocally unite in eradicating bullying,” he said.<\/p>\r\n

Adira, who is now the GenRe Putri Ambassador for Banjarbaru City in 2024, spoke out that night about women’s issues, especially sexual harassment. She said that in his opinion the substance of GenRe and the KRR Triad were very closely related to women. These include premarital sex, early marriage, and even stunting, which has a big dependence on women.<\/p>\r\n

By being opened directly by the Mayor of Banjarbaru, Muhammad Aditya Mufti Ariffin, the GenRe Ambassador event, which is the first in Banjarbaru, is hoped that apart from being a role model figure, it can also serve as motivation and spread insight for Banjarbaru youth.<\/p>\r\n

This is also a matter of pride for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Lambung Mangkurat University because not only Zaidan and Adira as students of the faculty succeeded in winning the title in this event. However, Raditya Ghaitsa A. G (Public Health) together with Siti Humairah Najwa (Psychology) became the Deputy I pair, and Muhammad Ikhwani Muslim (Public Health) succeeded in winning the Deputy III GenRe Ambassador for Banjarbaru City.<\/p>\r\n

This achievement cannot be separated from the support of the Faculty and Study Program Leaders, the Student and Alumni Potential Development Unit and the Philia Humanist Student Counseling Information Center (PIKMA) of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, as well as all supervisors and activity assistants.
