Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) received a visit from the Deputy for Regional Research and Innovation of BRIN on Wednesday (15\/11\/2023). Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations at ULM Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc., together with the Chair of LPPM ULM Prof. Sunardi, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., welcomed the visit in the Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of the ULM Banjarmasin Rectorate Building.<\/p>

The arrival of the Deputy for Regional Research and Innovation at BRIN was in order to discuss the role and support of research and innovation from academics at Lambung Mangkurat University for science-based policy-based development in South Kalimantan Province. Apart from that, this visit was also carried out in order to build and strengthen the innovation research ecosystem in the region as well as build cooperation and friendship between ULM and BRIN to be able to collaborate with each other with the aim of strengthening the regional innovation research ecosystem, especially in South Kalimantan.<\/p>

It is hoped that this visit and discussion will open the way for ULM and BRIN to plan follow-up actions through collaboration. Through this follow-up, it is hoped that it will be possible to realize benefits that can be felt by both parties, especially for the ULM academic community, especially researchers, through access to various facilities provided by BRIN.<\/p>

The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is a government agency that is under and responsible to the President in carrying out research, development, study and implementation, as well as inventions and innovations, nuclear energy administration and integrated space management based on Presidential Regulation Number 78 of 2021. This is the basis for BRIN needing the support of universities to become its main partner.<\/p>

Activities such as visits to ULM are necessary to achieve hopes through BRIN’s strategy in strengthening the innovation research ecosystem, where it is hoped that increased research and innovation at the regional level can also be synchronized. Therefore, this needs to be supported and assisted by universities in the area itself.<\/p>

“Please help and coordinate how to map the innovation research ecosystem in South Kalimantan with adequate supporting data. This of course also requires support and assistance from stakeholders,” said the Deputy for Regional Research and Innovation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
