ULM Students Showcase Achievements in the 2025 University Level MTQM Selection

Banjarmasin — Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) successfully held the 2025 University Level Student Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQM) Selection on Thursday (8/5/2025) at the General Building of ULM Banjarmasin. This activity was a means of selecting the best delegates who would represent ULM at the regional and national level Student MTQ.

This selection competed in various competition categories, including Tilawah (Qiraat), Fahmil Qur’an, Syarhil Qur’an, Debate on the Contents of the Qur’an in Arabic and English, and Scientific Writing of the Qur’an. Participants came from various faculties and study programs at ULM.

The best winners or first place winners in each category will receive further coaching in preparation for participating in the MTQM competition at the regional and national levels. This is part of ULM’s efforts to produce superior students not only academically, but also in understanding and practicing the values ​​of the Qur’an.

This MTQM selection activity is a real manifestation of ULM’s commitment to fostering religious, intellectual, and competitive values among students. Through this event, students are expected to not only be able to memorize and read the Qur’an, but also study, interpret, and discuss the contents of its values scientifically.

The champions will then undergo intensive coaching involving professional trainers and supervising lecturers, in order to face greater challenges at the regional and national levels.

With the success of this activity, ULM confirms its role as a higher education institution that is actively involved in forming a generation of Qur’anic achievers and noble characters.
