UPA Guidance and Counseling ULM Holds FGD, Discusses Mental Health Strategies for Lecturers and Education Personnel

Banjarmasin – The Academic Guidance and Counseling Support Unit (UPA BK) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held an FGD (Focus Group Discussion) on Mental Health Strengthening for Lecturers and Education Personnel. Carrying the theme “Self-Care: Strategies for Maintaining Mental Health Holistically”, the FGD was held at the G’Sign Hotel Banjarmasin on Monday & Tuesday (14-15/10/2024).
The Head of UPA BK, Dr. Ririanti Rachmayanie J., S.Psi., M.Pd., in her remarks said that the implementation of this activity was divided into 2 (two) days, where the first day was aimed at lecturers and teachers, while the second day was aimed at education personnel. Dr. Riri said that the FGD aims to provide an understanding of tips for maintaining mental health and consistent self-care.
“Mental health is the key to working optimally, therefore this FGD discusses self-care strategies in everyday life, both physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally,” she said.
Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Muhammad Rusmin Nuryadin, S.E., M.Sc., also attended the event to give a speech and open the event.
“ULM continues to improve itself to provide services to the community, for that we need a healthy mentality to be able to face various problems faced,” he said.
UPA Guidance and Counseling ULM was formed with the aim of providing counseling services to the ULM academic community, both students, lecturers, and education staff. Through this FGD activity, it is hoped that participants can understand the tips and strategies for forming a strong and healthy mentality.
