FKIP ULM Student Delegation Successfully Wins MTQMN 2024 Jambi
Jambi – Passing the finalist selection for the National Student Musabaqoh Tilawatil Quran (MTQMN) of the Communication Forum (Forkom) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) throughout Indonesia which was held online on October 7-9, a number of FKIP students from Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) participated in the final of the championship in Jambi on October 7-11. The fourteen students who departed were accompanied by the Vice Dean of FKIP ULM for Student Affairs and Alumni, Ali Rachman and the Field Supervisor (DPL) who also teaches the Islamic Religion course, Noor Ainah.
This student team successfully won in a number of competition categories, including:
- 1st place in the English debate competition in the men’s category on behalf of Muhammad Tahmidillah from the Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) Study Program and Ahmad Syaifuddin Arizky from the English Language Education Study Program;
- The 2nd place winner of the English debate competition for women was Fahdina Qanitah and Gita Nindi Astuti from the English Language Education Study Program;
- The 3rd place winner of the Maulid Barzanzi competition for Muhammad Hafidzul Munzir, Muhammad Ihsan, and Muhammad Abdul Karim Amrullah, Muhammad Hidayat, and Wildan Tamami from the Educational Technology Study Program (Tekpen);
- The 3rd place winner of the Quran recitation competition for Ahmad Maulidi from the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Study Program (PG PAUD), Muhammad Naufal Farisi from the Tekpen Study Program, and Nanda Khairul Mawaly from the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD);
- The 3rd place winner of the 5 juz Quran recitation competition for women was Anida Zulfa from the Tekpen Study Program;
- and The 3rd place winner of the Quran recitation for men was Zidan AL Fiqri from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program (PS).
With those victory, FKIP ULM won the title of 2nd overall winner after Jambi State University beat 23 other universities from all over Indonesia. Regarding this victory, the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki expressed his appreciation. According to him, this student achievement is the result of consistent training plus the religious environment of South Kalimantan supports students to maintain this consistency.
“I am grateful, the increase in student achievements also shows the good performance of educational institutions,” he said.
Meanwhile, one of the winning students, Muhammad Tahmidillah expressed his joy over this achievement.
“Hopefully this success will be the first step to continue to improve achievements in subsequent events, and be an inspiration for other fellow students to contribute to bringing the good name of the university. With hard work and continuous guidance, we are optimistic that we can achieve more brilliant achievements in the future,” he said. (UPKH FKIP)
