LMMC Clinic Learns From Unair Health Service Center
Surabaya – Lambung Mangkurat Medical Center (LMMC) Clinic as a health service provider unit for ULM academics and the general public continues to be committed to providing optimal health services. This is also strengthened by the re-obtaining of “Paripurna” Accreditation by LAFKESFRI (Health Facility Accreditation Institution).
This further strengthens the quality and high standards of service by LMMC. Moreover, LMMC ULM is also one of the health facilities that provides BPJS health services, where more than 13,000 BPJS participants have chosen LMMC ULM Clinic as their Level I health facility.
Most of the BPJS LMMC participants are students and lecturers, aiming to make it easier for them to get basic medical services, both by general practitioners, basic dental medical services by dentists, delivery services, antenatal care (pregnancy check-ups), maternal and child health/Family Planning, immunization, with consultants from various specialist doctors. LMMC Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) continues to strive to improve services to the academic community who have chosen the LMMC ULM Pratama Clinic as health facility I. This is also supported by the formation of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Increasing BPJS Membership and Capitation of the LMMC Clinic Number: 010 / SP / SATGAS / VIII / 2024 Regarding the request for Activity Funds, SPPD and Benchmarking Activity Assignment Letter.
Therefore, the Task Force Team accompanied by the Chairperson of LMMC Prof. Dr. Drs. Eko Suhartono, M.Si along with the Team who was also accompanied by the Vice Rector IV of ULM Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc, visited the Health Service Center (PLK) of Airlangga University to see the strategies implemented to increase BPJS membership in their clinic.
The activity, which was held on September 20 at the 10th Floor of ASEC Tower UNAIR, was welcomed directly by the Head of the Social Fund Management Center (PUSPAS) of Airlangga University, Dr. Wisudanto, S.E., M.M., CFP, ASPM and the Head of PLK Unair Dr. Ernawaty, drg. M.Kes and staff. Through this study visit activity, it can be concluded that the Health Service Center (PLK) of Airlangga University was chosen as the study destination to see the strategies implemented in services and efforts to increase BPJS membership in their clinic.
The choice of PUSPAS Unair was not without reason. PUSPAS Unair as the center for collecting, managing, and distributing social funds at Airlangga University has an important role in supporting the Tridharma of higher education. The donations collected came from personal funds and social funds. The funds will later be distributed in the form of educational scholarships, research and research assistance, educational advance funds, assistance for facilities and infrastructure, and so on.
Therefore, PUSPAS Unair is also one of the supporters for Unair students who have obstacles to BPJS membership so that it is difficult to get treatment, so PUSPAS’s task in distributing assistance will work. “There are students who have problems, their BPJS is not paid because they are one with their parents and their parents do not work, so we have a special program,” said the Head of PUSPAS Unair.
The Head of PLK also said that the participation of the University’s academic community in BPJS membership in their health services until now is still a big challenge. However, with PUSPAS, they claim that this is a solution for PLK to continue to provide the best and most comprehensive services so that every academic community can get equal health service facilities.
