ULM Sends Delegation for Peksiminas 2024, Ready to Compete in 14 Categories

Banjarmasin – The National Student Art Week (PEKSIMINAS) 2024 is set to take place on September 2. A delegation from Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) will be dispatched to represent 14 competition categories at the event, which will be held at Jakarta State University (UNJ).

In support of this, the Rector, represented by Dr. Muhamad Rusmin Nuryadin, SE., M.Si, Vice Rector for Student Affairs & Alumni, organized a farewell event for the Peksiminas 2024 delegation. The event was held at the Lecture Theater Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) ULM, aimed at sending off the students who will compete in this prestigious event.

This activity is conducted as a form of leadership support to guide ULM students in showcasing their best talents in their respective fields. The competition categories include Vocal Groups, Dance, Singing (Seriosa, Pop, Dangdut, Keroncong), Poetry Writing, Comic Strips, Short Story Writing, Playwriting, Social Campaign Media Design, Painting, Poetry Reading, Monologue, Artistic Photography, and Photojournalism. All delegates have undergone a rigorous selection process, which included stages at the program, faculty, university, and regional levels.

Dr. Muhamad Rusmin Nuryadin, SE., M.Si., as Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, was present to offer encouragement. He also expressed hopes that all participants would deliver their best performances.

“I hope all participants will perform their best and not feel intimidated by other universities competing. Let this be an opportunity for networking,” he said.

The participation of ULM students in Peksiminas 2024 is expected to bring pride and achievements to the university.
