PKKMB 2024 Begins, Rector Encourages Freshman to Achieve Achievements
Banjarbaru – Introduction to Campus Life for Freshman or PKKMB of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) in 2024 has officially begun. This activity will last for two days, namely August 13-14 at the ULM Banjarbaru Auditorium.
Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, SE., M.Sc., gave a speech and speech in front of thousands of Freshman (Maba). In his speech, he conveyed a message to the Freshman to study hard and achieve during their studies.
“Make the most of the valuable opportunity you get to study at Lambung Mangkurat University. Currently, ULM already has various facilities and infrastructure to support its students in achieving achievements in both academic and non-academic fields,” said the Rector.
Prof. Ahmad said that of the more than 25 thousand participants who registered to become ULM students, only around 6,400 people or 28% of participants were accepted. On this occasion, Prof. Ahmad also mentioned various national and international achievements achieved by ULM students to motivate Freshman.
“Let’s together lead ULM to become the best university at the national level and become a world-class university,” he said.
Prof. Ahmad as the current Rector is targeting ULM to become a world-class university. One of the strategic steps he has taken is to encourage various achievements by students, both at the national and international levels.
This year, ULM has quite a lot of proud achievements. Some of them were mentioned by the Rector in his speech, starting from ULM’s achievement as the 7th largest recipient of PKM, the student choir that won a silver medal in an international performance, to two ULM students who passed HPAIR 2024 organized by Harvard University.
