Prospective Dentistry Profession Study Program Students Undergo Drug Tests

Banjarmasin – A total of 73 prospective students of the Dentistry Profession study program (Prodi) of Lambung Mangkurat University (FKG ULM) underwent a Drug, Psychotropic and other Addictive Substances (Napza) test. They took the Drug test after previously passing the Computer Based Test (CBT) for the 2024 ULM Dentistry Profession new student admissions. This Drug Test was carried out at the LMMC Banjarmasin Clinic in collaboration with the South Kalimantan Provincial Health Office, Monday (5/8/2024).

Head of the Dentistry Profession study program, Dr. drg. Debby Saputera, Sp.Pros. explained that this health test is a requirement that must be met by prospective students after passing the CBT test. Dr. Debby also explained that there will still be a series of tests, namely the MMPI (Psychology) test and also Hepatitis B immunization. The series of tests are not only to find out the health of prospective students, but will also be used when the learning process has begun.

Prospective students who pass will later be placed at the Hasan Aman Dental and Oral Hospital to carry out Koas. “RSGM Hasan Aman will be the main teaching hospital for students, then there will be 10 network hospitals such as Ulin Hospital, Ansari Saleh Hospital, Idaman Hospital and Sultan Suriansyah Hospital will focus on field practice.” Dr. Debby explained.

ULM itself requires a drug test as part of the re-registration process for all prospective new students. This test is carried out to ensure that prospective students have quality character and mentality and are free from drugs.
