FK ULM Passed 100% of UKMPPD and 3 Doctors Entered the 5 Best Nationally

Banjarmasin – The Faculty of Medicine, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held the Oath Taking of the 88th Class of Doctors as well as the Handover of Specialist Doctor Brevets on Monday (13/11/2023). This event was held in the Hall of the Faculty of Medicine, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarmasin.

A total of 49 general practitioners were appointed directly and took the oath by their respective religious leaders. This event was attended by the Dean of FK ULM Dr. Dr. Istiana, M.Kes., ULM Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Iwan Aflanie, dr. M.Kes., Sp.F., SH., and representatives of the Director of RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin.

The Director of Ulin Regional Hospital conveyed congratulations to the new doctors who were sworn in and the specialist doctors who received brevets. In his representative speech, he conveyed the extraordinary challenges that health workers, especially doctors, will face in the future, where health workers will be increasingly required to maintain quality service standards in facing the global market era that is at hand.

New doctors and specialist doctors must be aware of domestic health issues, where services are prioritized so they can be accessed by all groups.

“This means that all doctors are required to provide the best possible service, develop skills, maturity, maturity in dealing with problems, changes in movement where there is high mobility and wide networks, as well as changes in the focus of a better vision and mission for the future,” said Director of Ulin Regional Hospital, Banjarmasin.

The Director of Ulin Regional Hospital also advised the newly appointed general practitioners and specialist doctors to have an awareness of the responsibilities inherent in the profession, have the principle of upholding the truth, and uphold ethical and moral principles in accordance with the doctor’s oath.

“I hope that the doctors who were inaugurated today will be able to build networks between nations and be able to compete in the era of globalization, and be able to become quality doctors with high competence who are ready to provide services to the Indonesian people.” he said.

Apart from inaugurating 49 new general practitioners, on this agenda FK ULM also inaugurated 9 specialist doctors including 5 Internal Medicine Specialist doctors, 1 Pediatric Specialist doctor, and 3 Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist doctors. This was conveyed by the Dean of FK ULM Dr. Dr. Istiana, M.Kes., in his remarks.

Meanwhile, ULM Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Iwan Aflanie, dr. M.Kes., Sp.F., SH., who was present representing the Chancellor of ULM enthusiastically expressed his appreciation for the doctors who were inaugurated at this event. He said that in the Student Competency Examination for the Medical Professional Program (UKMPPD) this time, ULM achieved a pass rate of up to 100%, where 3 of them were the best nationally, namely Dr. Nizam is in second place, Dr. Putri is in third place, and dr. Devia is in fifth place.

“This is a great source of pride for us and proof of the suitability of FK ULM’s superior accreditation so that it can produce good output,” he said.

At this event, FK ULM also graduated and presented brevets to specialist doctors, among others
